Still get goosebumps listening to this. I still remember record shopping in HMV and absolutely no idea why I picked this CD up in the chart section, but I saw a Matt Darey remix on the back and bought it on the off chance it might be decent. By far his best work (in my opinion) Uplifting trance perfection👌
I totally remember without a shadow of a doubt in my mind spinnin this song in Portland Maine at a club called The Underground from September 2000 to July of 2003
🎵Gabriel is a soul & r & b singer & her vocals only without her own Rhythms & Bluesy Sound taken out replaced with a Trance techno acid & much more Power driven beats ! its harder edge her Vocals work & song itself works well here & this quite a Deep melody for " Rise " transferred to the Dancefloors with highs & Lows Meaning this has Soul I know that I know my House music Matt Darey Did a Different take on the whole song itself It's Gooooood Mad Idea but Gooooood don't tell me you don't feel the Emotions of the breakdown & then the Hard High Octane Tempo or BPM , dislike with your finger no one gives 👍😁🎵
if this off of vinyl or were you able to DL it somewhere? I would love to pay for a digital DL of this. I have a copy.. but it's way sketchy. still love it though. one of the BEST trance songs ever!!
vocals don't seem to mesh with the mix. the way they're integrated, it sounds like she's whispering. put another way: the vocals sound buried af. compare that to the original where the vocals sound "normal." maybe it's a mastering issue. or maybe this rmx would simply work better as an original track.

thats the whole point ,the remix wouldnt sound half as good if the vocals where more prominent
