Your dad must not drive many sport bikes or it might be how it’s tuned mine pulls all the way to 10-11k and it sounds like you need a better exhaust I bought a cheap Cherry Bomb from Auto Zone (for cars😁) 2-1/4” I believe and get a (Factory) jet kit with needle Factory is the brand not Suzuki parts. Anyway I took mine out without the glass pack after I chopped the muffler off and it was like yours flat power band, put glass pack on and it runs like a sport bike again, I love surprising the big Harley’s I ride with I keep up till about 80 but that’s fast enough anyway

Ag Spog you're going to have a hard time finding one it would be way cheaper to buy a rebuild kit and rebuild it.
