I won't be voting for her. As a former employee who worked under her supervision, I can assure you that Swank will be infinitely better. She lost credibility with many who served under her!
Boy you watch her interview and then you watch her counterpart who's running against her. It's like night and day! He's already got his whole entire team in almost in place. It sounds like and he used to do a lot of high-profile arrests and was sergeant over one of the worst parts of Seattle with a ton of gang activity. So who do you think is going to do more? I can tell you what Pierce County currently isn't doing. It's not enforcing any of the prostitution laws. They basically look in the other way. While we have organized crime that's doing money laundering and quite frankly using up a lot of police resources Those girls are robbed and raped about every other week and new foot massage parlors popping up like mushrooms! So my hope is we're going to get some new leadership. So therefore I think it's time we look at bringing in completely different leadership from what we currently have.
Shes been in charge of the jails. OK important job, but shes never made an arrest. How will she guide the deputies that put their lives at risk for us if shes never been there?
@missyme001 A 150-14 vote by the Pierce County jail employees, the guild issued a vote of “no confidence” to PattiJackson. Can you imagine if she gets elected when she has such high numbers 150-14 of No Confidence by the correction employees while the number of people she supervises with the number of people in Pierce County who she will need to get their confidence when she couldn’t get with the number of employees she supervised. This vote is from the current Pierce County jail/correction employees at the jail/correction who she has supervised for many years. Some comments from the jail employees said they don’t get to attend the trainings and classes but Patti Jackson went to any class she wanted to go to for her own selfish reason which was for this election instead of prioritizing the employees who are under her. Taking the classes for herself instead of allowing the current employees to get their training and classes which she declines the request. Most of the employees that has worked under her supervision are not happy because of the reasons I said along with many other reasons. That’s a huge difference of a vote of no confidence by a 150-14 difference by the current employees who don’t trust Patti’s leadership and also her selfishness in only thinking about herself with this election but not for the safety training of the employees and additional classes they request.
@jwlthe4th She was in corrections for 30+ years. In March she received a 150-14 vote of *no confidence* from the Corrections Guild. The article is in the News Tribune. The "Alliance for G u n Responsibilty" has made max donations to her campaign and state they look forward to working with her. They support BLM and believe gun ownership is rooted in white supremacy. It's on their website under "Solidarity Guide" tab.

@lauradevita9623 She was with the Democrats at their table they had at the fair. They had her signs up. She's aligned with The Alliance for Gun Responsibility. They have max donations to her campaigns. They talk about her on their website. They are looking forward to having her become sheriff. THEIR "SOLIDARITY STATEMENT" SAYS THEY SUPPORT BLACK LIVES MATTER AND THEY BELIEVE GUN OWNERSHIP IS ROOTED IN WHITE SUPREMACY.

The Alliance for Gun Responsibilty gave max donations to Jackson in this campaign. They are obviously already familiar with her. They state on their website that they are optimistic about the prospect of working with Jackson. Here is the problem: The Alliance for Gun Responsibilty has a "Solidarity Guide" wherein it states, "we must acknowledge that the history of gun violence and gun laws in the United States is completely intertwined with white supremacy and structural racism. In fighting to dismantle those, we are also fighting against gun violence. The Second Amendment has a history of being used as a tool of White Supremacy. Today’s police structure dates back to slave patrols in colonial America and has evolved into the institution that disproportionately stops, arrests, harasses, and wields violence against Black people. Structural racism locks entire neighborhoods out of economic opportunity and into cycles of poverty, allowing violence to take root. And attempts to oppress and control people of color created the modern gun lobby, which regularly traffics in white supremacist messaging and stokes fear about people of color in an attempt to drive gun sales. It is our responsibility to fight alongside others to root out the racism and injustice that is knit into the fabric of our country. We cannot end the gun violence epidemic without doing so. We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and those protesting and marching for justice." ****************** Anyone in Pierce County who doesn't want to become another victim of the trend moving across America where YOU become the criminal for exercising your God-given, Constitutionally protected right of self defense should NOT vote for Jackson. I do not want my Sheriff to be aligned with gun control groups. Government is not to control the People, but to protect the rights of the People.

Another DEI hire because she is a woman ? Don't know but if she doesn't have the background of being in the trenches then she is like Kamala in a way. Hope the voters make a good decision and elect the best person for the job. It sounds like Swank is a better candidate and a better fit for the job. Talk is cheap when it comes to politics.

She can't and that's going to be a matter of contention for the Deputy guild!

Why doesn’t she come right out and see if she’s a Democrat or a Republican? What is she hiding?
