I started following you because I found your style very classy and chic and I loved the pieces you picked every time from Zara, H&M, or Aritzia and how you explained the material and quality of the pieces. As a consumer, it made my shopping decision easier and more informed. Speaking from an audience point of view, I spent 20/30 minutes of my time watching your videos since it saved me from spending hours and hours on websites looking for quality pieces. Now, I am happy for you that you have grown so much and can afford very expensive designer pieces, however, I don't find these videos on designer items useful to me because I don't see myself getting designer pieces anytime soon. So, spending time watching a video on designer items, no matter how great they are, is a waste of time for me. You have made your position very clear in the video that you want to work with designer brands, which is great, but I see a gap between what I find useful and what you wish to offer on your channel. Therefore, as an audience, it does not make sense for me to spend my time watching your videos anymore because that does not serve my need. I still love you and am happy for your success, but I also have to be mindful about where I invest my time and what I'm getting out of it. You have all the right to curate your content however you like and no one should be judging you or telling you what you can do. I hope you reach your goals but I will no longer be following you until I find myself in a position where your content is suitable for me. Wish you all the success!
I just want to acknowledge this respectful and well thought out message. I am sure this sentiment is echoed by many of her viewers who now feel she is not relatable because her content has moved from high street to high fashion. I’m sure many did not mean to come off as offensive with the simple comment of no longer being able to relate. However, your comment is well written and I think it more clearly expresses how a lot of her followers probably feel when they shared their thoughts of finding her no longer relatable. Or maybe some of them really are just being rude.
Totally agree, I just skip the videos I am not interested and check the ones I am. So people is free to decide what to see or ot. She is not obligating anyone to watch her content.

I do agree with others that I cannot relate to your purchases anymore due to the shift to designers pieces. However, as you stated that you still do search for items by high street but didn’t find anything appealing this summer - this has been very relieving that you still do have an interest in these brands and won’t completely shy away from them now. Do what makes you happy. My biggest regret was not buying a Chanel handbag in my early 30s (would’ve been less expensive). The reason was because I cared too much what other people were going to say. I’m now going to be 42 and those people aren’t in my life anymore and I realized I could buy whatever I want without judgement. I now have one Chanel, YSL, and LV handbag but want more🤣. I’m glad and look forward to you sharing all your luxury items!!!❤️

Samantha, I am standing up applauding you. Keep educating women on how to empower one another instead of tearing each other down. We are shifting out of the patriarchal paradigm, but it will take some re-education on what is possible for women. I was more curious as to why you chose it. I'm have my little collection of Chanel bags, my brand of choice, so it's interesting to hear what other people like and why. (Granted I was a click away from buying a book tote last week, can't lie that I don't like the Dior aesthetic lol) On another note, I think it's more impressive that someone your age has the work ethic and patience to save for something like that. I remember buying my first designer bag around your age after saving up, and it's really wonderful knowing that you worked for something you really wanted.
Hi great video. I have been in and out of your channel since you started. I see your perspective and those of the negative comments. I guess for me I was really drawn to your unique style with high street brands and some not so well known. I stopped watching your videos with regularity because I do feel for me personally they are unrelatable, don't get me wrong I own luxury pieces here and there chanel, hermes, louis vuitton, etc. But I don't want to see it in every post. I was drawn to the fact that you didn't post all designer stuff. Its great you can afford it, I get it and I like your analogy of seeing as a promotion. Yes...i have similar feeling...at the starting i liked how hnm n zara stuff...which we can afford...were shown by u....n we tried to incultate those pieces in our wardrobe...bt now i hv stopped watching ur videos...becoz they have become like other influencers/content creators...only high end luxury brands...which we are not always interested in....hope u can go back to ur original content...n not jst high end brands

Samantha has an amazing work ethic and has had incredible success on social media. I think people don't realize how much money influencers make from their videos, paid ads and sponsorships. They also receive clothing and other items for free and if they like the items will showcase them in their social media posts. This is how she is able to afford her new luxury items. Unfortunately I think the reason people are saying that her channel is no longer relatable is because she is now able to purchase items that are out of the price range of the majority of her followers. Samantha has a great sense of style and even if her followers cannot afford the luxury items Samantha speaks about, they can find similar items within their budget and put together similar looks. What Samantha is doing to earn this money isn't rocket science but it does take discipline like anything else you want to be successful in. You can have the same success she has had by following the same path she took to get here. Samantha is 21, still in school full time and is making her dreams come true. If nothing else, she is inspirational.
Just came back to finish viewing your video! You are so inspiring! Never feel you have to apologize for or justify your success. When people are hostile it usually has nothing to do with you, it has to do with them. It is a shame when another’s joy does not bring someone happiness. It’s simple: if a person does not have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Nobody is forced to watch anybody’s video. If you don’t like it or support what they are doing, move along. I love all your content, my only request is that when you do a styling video, when it includes luxury brands, if you could also list a similar item at a lower price point with it. It has been a pleasure watching your success and seeing you grow! This video popped up on my recommended list, although I unsubscribed a few months ago. I just wanted to come on and say that you addressing the comments was something I could totally foreseen, mainly because it’s true. Like I said before, I only purchase designer shoes and bags, since I believe those are fashion pieces that are always (or at least for a very long time) going to be part of my collection, and I do invest a lot of money on them, and when I couldn’t afford them, I never said I wanted/“loved” something else, like you did. I don’t believe that the issue here is if you decide to spend 10k on a bag or not, but the fact that when you started you couldn’t afford it yet you said that you “loved” all of these other minor high fashion brands like Coach, Polene or MK, when in fact you just wanted a Dior or a Chanel bag. And same with your clothes, how can I watch a Zara haul from someone who is going to run and return all the pieces afterwards just so that she can afford a LV agenda? Like I said in my previous comments, I wish you were more real with your viewers because otherwise you will loose that connection and you will never find your true audience. I still wish you all best. Hope one day you can come clear with them.

The resilience that you have showed against all the hate with so much politeness goes to show that class is not just outwards but also inside. I purchased my first luxury bag recently as well. The feeling that you get when you know you’ve earned it is just indescribable. It is a milestone and an achievement, why wouldn’t it be? And, it also inspires you to work hard towards your next big goal. Trust me, anyone who has seen your journey, knows that you’ve earned it yourself. All the other noise is just envy. Easier said than done, but just block that noise and focus on your craft. We, your supporters will always love and support you.

I can relate to how you feel because when I bought my dream designer bag (a used one for that matter) I felt lots of judgement from people. I felt guilty like I shouldn’t be proud to show it. Like somehow I was showing off. What if a man bought a nice car and posted it on Instagram? He wouldn’t get any backlash for it. I had wanted that bag since I was 17 years old and I finally got a real job and saved all my money to afford this bag. It’s not about it being a materialistic item. It’s something I look at and feel proud for how far I’ve come. No one gave it to me. I bought it with my own money. Can women be successful and buy something nice without being judged for it? Unfortunately hurt people hurt people for whatever reason. I think you need to learn (which is easier said than done) to let the negative comments just pass over. It’s what happens when you are in the public eye. I really would not give them your time and explanations. It’s really not needed unless it helps you feel better getting off your chest. I think you should do a video showing what you did to afford yourself luxurious items and how you did it ! (your savings plan, tricks to save money, showind monitary sacrifices you had to do…) I think it's a great idea that you had and I think it would interest a lot of us, so we, as well, can afford things like that ! I agree that it is troubling when women don't support other women. However, I disagree that, "This would never happen to a man". At some point, everyone encounters jealous or unsupportive people, regardless of their gender. When you let people into your life through this medium, it is important to remember that most followers are neither family members nor are they friends, and as such, will not always celebrate your successes. However, followers and viewers have allowed you to achieve the success that you enjoy.

Completely agree on you with how to approach if someone is doing good in their life. I had plenty of “friends” who weren’t proud of me for my accomplishments. I ended up not telling anyone about my accomplishments after that since. I always kept hidden and did it my own. As with high street and luxury items, keep doing you. You have some very valid points there. Congratulations on your success it truly is inspirational. I follow the channel for your great sense of style and not because I can afford the items you display. Rewarding yourself for your successes is nothing to be shamed for, especially to such a point that you had to explain yourself, that's insane. I think your critics have a point in regards to you shying away from low end stores. In a space of 2 years you have had tremendous growth and it's not your fault that some people have not grown with you in that regard. There was one video which I saw where you were bashing Zara, its quality, fit, and prices, girllll come on now that's what got your foot through the door to your success, Zara is still the same, now and back then. what has changed is your affordability. Truth be told if you were still in the same financial position as most of the people that started with you, you would find items to display from those stores because that's where your budget would be limited to. What has happened is that you have outgrown them, give honor to these stores when you can and be done defending yourself.

I have the same collagen powder I love it, I did find it had a weird flavor at first but I think it was just in my mind. I find it gives me energy honestly, my hair has definitely started to look shinier and my skin a lot more clear. So that's my review :D

One thing that bothered me was even if the brand gifted you something, it's because they trust you. Your true audience must be really happy for that. Anyway, the bag is really beautiful!
I used to take that exact collagen- yes. It's wonderful. I used to add it to my smoothies and in overnight oats as well. The only reason I stopped was because I changed my diet to be exclusively vegan. I got the NARS set too for my birthday!

Hi Samantha! I love watching your channel and so proud of you! You have a lovely classic style about you and it is timeless.(love the bag, it is beautiful) and yes there is a lot of history in these designers. The way how each garment is cut, to the inspiration, to the making of just one item. There is a lot more to fashion. I completely understand you! Oh and I am working very hard towards getting a Range Rover and then a house. (meaning working a lot of hours during my week and being a caretaker, save and invest) and I completely understand what it means to work hard. Keep doing what you are doing, go the extra mile and achieve in your goals and succeed.

My sister has been taking collagen for years and I was a skeptic too! I finally started taking it in my coffee and am amazed as well about how it doesn't taste like anything. The ironic part is that caffeine slows down the rate at which your body makes collagen so I kind of make fun of myself for putting it in my coffee! 😂. Ladies, we'd all be better off not having any caffeine but I just can't cut it out😥
Congratulations for having reached your goal and for everything you have achieved so far. I imagine that some women can no longer relate to you as much, since now it’s probably harder for some to go buy the same items you’re wearing, but this is no excuse for making you feel like you owe anyone an explanation. Hi Samantha! Thank you for addressing the issue and speaking your mind! I started following you because I found your style very classy and chic and I loved the pieces you picked every time from Zara, H&M, or Aritzia and how you explained the material and quality of the pieces. As a consumer, it made my shopping decision easier and more informed. Speaking from an audience point of view, I spent 20/30 minutes of my time watching your videos since it saved me from spending hours and hours on websites looking for quality pieces. Now, I am happy for you that you have grown so much and can afford very expensive designer pieces, however, I don't find these videos on designer items useful to me because I don't see myself getting designer pieces anytime soon. So, spending time watching a video on designer items, no matter how great they are, is a waste of time for me. You have made your position very clear in the video that you want to work with designer brands, which is great, but I see a gap between what I find useful and what you wish to offer on your channel. Therefore, as an audience, it does not make sense for me to spend my time watching your videos anymore because that does not serve my need. I still love you and am happy for your success, but I also have to be mindful about where I invest my time and what I'm getting out of it. You have all the right to curate your content however you like and no one should be judging you or telling you what you can do. I hope you reach your goals but I will no longer be following you until I find myself in a position where your content is suitable for me. Wish you all the success!
I just want to acknowledge this respectful and well thought out message. I am sure this sentiment is echoed by many of her viewers who now feel she is not relatable because her content has moved from high street to high fashion. I’m sure many did not mean to come off as offensive with the simple comment of no longer being able to relate. However, your comment is well written and I think it more clearly expresses how a lot of her followers probably feel when they shared their thoughts of finding her no longer relatable.

I do agree with others that I cannot relate to your purchases anymore due to the shift to designers pieces. However, as you stated that you still do search for items by high street but didn’t find anything appealing this summer - this has been very relieving that you still do have an interest in these brands and won’t completely shy away from them now. Do what makes you happy. My biggest regret was not buying a Chanel handbag in my early 30s (would’ve been less expensive). The reason was because I cared too much what other people were going to say. I’m now going to be 42 and those people aren’t in my life anymore and I realized I could buy whatever I want without judgement. I now have one Chanel, YSL, and LV handbag but want more🤣. I’m glad and look forward to you sharing all your luxury items!!!❤️

Samantha, I am standing up applauding you. Keep educating women on how to empower one another instead of tearing each other down. We are shifting out of the patriarchal paradigm, but it will take some re-education on what is possible for women. Hi great video. I have been in and out of your channel since you started. I see your perspective and those of the negative comments. I guess for me I was really drawn to your unique style with high street brands and some not so well known. I stopped watching your videos with regularity because I do feel for me personally they are unrelatable, don't get me wrong I own luxury pieces here and there chanel, hermes, louis vuitton, etc. But I don't want to see it in every post. I was drawn to the fact that you didn't post all designer stuff. Its great you can afford it, I get it and I like your analogy of seeing as a promotion. Samantha has an amazing work ethic and has had incredible success on social media. I think people don't realize how much money influencers make from their videos, paid ads and sponsorships. They also receive clothing and other items for free and if they like the items will showcase them in their social media posts. This is how she is able to afford her new luxury items. Unfortunately I think the reason people are saying that her channel is no longer relatable is because she is now able to purchase items that are out of the price range of the majority of her followers. Samantha has a great sense of style and even if her followers cannot afford the luxury items Samantha speaks about, they can find similar items within their budget and put together similar looks. What Samantha is doing to earn this money isn't rocket science but it does take discipline like anything else you want to be successful in. You can have the same success she has had by following the same path she took to get here. Samantha is 21, still in school full time and is making her dreams come true. If nothing else, she is inspirational.
Just came back to finish viewing your video! You are so inspiring! Never feel you have to apologize for or justify your success. When people are hostile it usually has nothing to do with you, it has to do with them. It is a shame when another’s joy does not bring someone happiness. It’s simple: if a person does not have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Nobody is forced to watch anybody’s video. If you don’t like it or support what they are doing, move along. I love all your content, my only request is that when you do a styling video, when it includes luxury brands, if you could also list a similar item at a lower price point with it. This video popped up on my recommended list, although I unsubscribed a few months ago. I just wanted to come on and say that you addressing the comments was something I could totally foreseen, mainly because it’s true.
Like I said before, I only purchase designer shoes and bags, since I believe those are fashion pieces that are always (or at least for a very long time) going to be part of my collection, and I do invest a lot of money on them, and when I couldn’t afford them, I never said I wanted/“loved” something else, like you did.
I don’t believe that the issue here is if you decide to spend 10k on a bag or not, but the fact that when you started you couldn’t afford it yet you said that you “loved” all of these other minor high fashion brands like Coach, Polene or MK, when in fact you just wanted a Dior or a Chanel bag. And same with your clothes, how can I watch a Zara haul from someone who is going to run and return all the pieces afterwards just so that she can afford a LV agenda?
Like I said in my previous comments, I wish you were more real with your viewers because otherwise you will loose that connection and you will never find your true audience. I still wish you all best. Hope one day you can come clear with them.

I can relate to how you feel because when I bought my dream designer bag (a used one for that matter) I felt lots of judgement from people. I felt guilty like I shouldn’t be proud to show it. Like somehow I was showing off. What if a man bought a nice car and posted it on Instagram? He wouldn’t get any backlash for it. I had wanted that bag since I was 17 years old and I finally got a real job and saved all my money to afford this bag. It’s not about it being a materialistic item. At some point, everyone encounters jealous or unsupportive people, regardless of their gender. When you let people into your life through this medium, it is important to remember that most followers are neither family members nor are they friends, and as such, will not always celebrate your successes. However, followers and viewers have allowed you to achieve the success that you enjoy.

Completely agree on you with how to approach if someone is doing good in their life. I had plenty of “friends” who weren’t proud of me for my accomplishments. I ended up not telling anyone about my accomplishments after that since. I always kept hidden and did it my own. As with high street and luxury items, keep doing you. You have some very valid points there. Congratulations on your success it truly is inspirational. I follow the channel for your great sense of style and not because I can afford the items you display. Rewarding yourself for your successes is nothing to be shamed for, especially to such a point that you had to explain yourself, that's insane.
I think your critics have a point in regards to you shying away from low end stores. In a space of 2 years you have had tremendous growth and it's not your fault that some people have not grown with you in that regard. There was one video which I saw where you were bashing Zara, its quality, fit, and prices, girllll come on now that's what got your foot through the door to your success, Zara is still the same, now and back then. what has changed is your affordability. Truth be told if you were still in the same financial position as most of the people that started with you, you would find items to display from those stores because that's where your budget would be limited to. What has happened is that you have outgrown them, give honor to these stores when you can and be done defending yourself.

I have the same collagen powder I love it, I did find it had a weird flavor at first but I think it was just in my mind. I find it gives me energy honestly, my hair has definitely started to look shinier and my skin a lot more clear. So that's my review :D

Samantha, I've been watching you from the very beginning and I'm so happy to see you grow. I really don't understand why people never appreciate the hard work that goes BTS. One thing that bothered me was even if the brand gifted you something, it's because they trust you. Your true audience must be really happy for that. Anyway, the bag is really beautiful!
I used to take that exact collagen- yes. It's wonderful. I used to add it to my smoothies and in overnight oats as well. The only reason I stopped was because I changed my diet to be exclusively vegan. I got the NARS set too for my birthday!

You have a lovely classic style about you and it is timeless.(love the bag, it is beautiful) and yes there is a lot of history in these designers. The way how each garment is cut, to the inspiration, to the making of just one item. There is a lot more to fashion. I completely understand you! Oh and I am working very hard towards getting a Range Rover and then a house. (meaning working a lot of hours during my week and being a caretaker, save and invest) and I completely understand what it means to work hard. Keep doing what you are doing, go the extra mile and achieve in your goals and succeed.

My sister has been taking collagen for years and I was a skeptic too! I finally started taking it in my coffee and am amazed as well about how it doesn't taste like anything. The ironic part is that caffeine slows down the rate at which your body makes collagen so I kind of make fun of myself for putting it in my coffee! 😂. Ladies, we'd all be better off not having any caffeine but I just can't cut it out😥
