Awesome video, I’m a pool player and fairly new to the game ( a year in) and I find myself constantly becoming frustrated with my play ... and a big reason for that is I’m setting unrealistic expectations for myself, if I don’t clear the table everytime I’m out of my seat I feel like I’ve failed. Thanks for sharing this advice definitely going to try to execute some of these techniques to calm myself down during a match
Hey glad it was useful, Hunter! Hope you've found some improvement, definitely our expectations can be a conscious / subconscious influence on our reaction to what happens during a game.
Thanks for sharing, can totally get how frustrating it is! I always try and think of it like mistakes are part of all sports, we don't like them but they are unavoidable when you play long enough, and I try to get players to focus on their contribution to the team's performance rather than focussing on their mistakes (knowing that everyone makes them at some point). Easier said than done, I know. Kinda starts with having a good 'mistake management' strategy, I have another video which looks at this concept.
This is good stuff, I do archery and tend to lose it after hitting one bad shot.
Thanks! Really appreciate the feedback, hope the techniques are useful for you in your archery! 🏹

I'm a Snooker player and I get frustrated if I don't make a decent break each visit.
I would go for the professional option because it will help me a lot better than the second option
Thanks so much 👍 I'll try this next time I'm in the car and my husband is annoying me 😊

You're welcome! I definitely think many sports psych concepts are transferrable across sport and Esport!
