How big were the pinesteps. Or the stumps. I have 30 acres of 30 yr old pines and I am wondering if the kx080 or 056 would be big enough to dig out the stumps? Also you indicated that you had to be careful about how the timber is cut. Can you give a few more details?

Are you on deep soil or shallow with rock underneath? My stumps are 10 to 48 inch in diameter. The 080 would be phenomenal and the 057 is more than sufficient. On my ground I can clear close to 1 acre completely in about 8 hours or so of big oak stumps. Now that's piling and burning and all. Your soul type and time of year will play a big role in cleaning up. I will make a video explaining the logger situation more in depth to much to put in a comment. I'm assuming it's 30 year plantation pine so be around 20 to 30 inches in diameter?

@@rollingoakfarms9132 yes 30 year lob lolly pines. Soil is pretty deep but it is sort of rocky. Not huge rocks!

On the loblolly pine your stumps will consist of mainly just a long deep tap root from 3 to 6 feet in length. The 057 handles them fine but of course like anything else the bigger the machine the better for mechanical advantage. If you can harvest in the dead dry of summer or in the winter when the ground is frozen are the best times for harvest for less damage to your property. I will try and get the video about logging and picking a Forester/ logger up by Wednesday. Your ground sounds similar to mine and you can see in the video how it is removing them, of course there always will be a booger of a stump that will fight tooth and nail till the end. Thus far my 1 foot bucket has been the best for removing stumps. There is a fine line of to much moisture and not enough when grubbing the stumps, right now it has been fairly easy digging for me with a little over 1 inch of rain this last week.

@@rollingoakfarms9132 i have a 057-4 and about to upgrade to the dash 5. The kubota bucket tooth holders are junk btw. I got about 1200 hours on a 2ft bucket and the pins just push through with your fingers.

Is your bucket actually made by Kubota or who? I am using TAG MFG buckets they are made in Chattanooga.

@@rollingoakfarms9132 The bucket itself is fine. Its the tooth holder thats the problem. It used a roll pin to hold the tooth on. Thats the kubota standard.
