I learned this song last night. Completely fell in love with it the second I heard it and was inspired to record it right away. (HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO REQUESTED THIS SONG)
I reached out to Mike Kalombo after hearing the song once & he got right on top of it, created the track & video & got it over to me in the next few hours. :-D Love how things just fall into place easily! :-D

If it didn't say it was a cover and I didn't hear this song before I would have thought that it was originally hers. She has such control of her voice, such power and emotion. It is simply amazing.

y r people putting lisa down? true, she does not deliver the song the way adele does but thats the whole point. adele is unique, she will naturally perform in her own special way. lisa is also extremely talented and she performed beautifully.
When I first heard that song, i almost cried : Adele was amazing ! But here, there is no emotion : i just hear how much you try to be perfect with your vocal technic...
Holy crap this is perfect! I love Lisa and I knew she would do a great job on this song, but even after watching every single video of her's I'm completely blown away with this video. The emotion in her voice is beautiful. Truly the voice of an angel!
Anyone choosing to cover a song written by another artist is bound to be compared. The lyrical content of the song is raw, real, hurtful and honest. The singer has a lovely voice and is obviously talented, but I agree with those who feel a lack of emotional intensity.
Noone is saying she hasnt had a broken heart, but I don't hear it enough in her voice. I don't get goosebumps as I do when Adele sings it, or for that matter when I hear ortoPilots cover of same song.
Frankly, I've seen each of her videos, bought her songs and have listened to every cover and original she's put out so far...I can honestly say, based on what I've already seen from her, everything she touches turns to gold. She could sing the phonebook and I'd pay to see it...People like to be petty with her because they know there's nothing wrong with her...So they try to pick tiny things that aren't even there to complain about...to be honest, she's remarkable.
People really needs to stop comparing Lisa Lavie and Adele. Both are extraordinary.

LISA LAVIE! A Great Talent! I have followed Lisa for three years and each song is masterfully sung. Lisa sang songs done by Alicia Keyes ("Empire State of Mind"), Beyonce, other Artists and now Adele in this video. Each song Lisa does is equal to or better than the original!! Love you Lisa!!

I like Adele's original, but, I gotta say Lisa's rendition is pretty good. Lisa's voice really matches the vocal range in the song and her tone was great with the nice touch of deepness/power, so, it was a good choice to choose this song to cover

I'll never understand why people say shit like "she doesn't sing with emotion" or similar statements about Lisa or any other singer on youtube. There are ways to express that you like the original better without taking hits at singers doing covers of the song. Personally, I like Adele's version better, but Lisa did an amazing cover, and it's pretty damn obvious that she's singing with passion. People don't make covers to try and top the original - they do it because they like the song.
Love that it sounds like YOU, as opposed to trying to duplicate Adele's voice. Liked you since I heard Angel - you better sing, girl!

Listen...I'm 19, I've been singing on and off stage since I was 5, acted just as long...Stage fright isn't as big of a deal after your first big performance, because then you know you can do it and before every performance you get butterflies...but they don't overwhelm you. Also, I've been vocally trained again since I was 5...Lisa's vocally as close to perfect as somebody can be. 12 year olds really shouldn't come online and think they're experts on things they can barely do themselves...

Adele sings this song with her heart, this grils plays, and sings with her head. Adele searchs the emotion, Lisa the performance. Adele is the best actually voice, and you can't compare her with other singer.

@anfr223 that's Lisa lavie's style, she has a powerful voice, so she has to lean back so that it doesn't ruin the sound or anything when she gets too close. I like lisa lavie's version, she has a really nice vocal range.

People who say that this is better than the original clearly don't know anything about emotion. Yes it's beautiful, yes she has a great voice, but when Adele sings it you can see she sings with her heart, you just have to watch the Brit Awards performance because she cries at then end. She wrote that song so she knows what it's about. I watch that video and it doesn't make me feel anything, no tears, no chills. That's just my opinion
