that movie was release under a different title called Zillbots in theaters and it bombed. when they re-release in the theaters under chopping mall. it still didn't do well until it got second life on home video.
I love Chopping Mall. I also watched it a lot when I was a kid. It's a very short movie, especially if you consider how long the opening credits are. I'm super jealous of all those autographs.
Apparently it’s cringy if we watched it as a kid 😂 or so says a weird commenter on this video 🤷🏻♂️. People are strange I tell ya ha. I’m glad I’m not to only one who grew up watching horror movies ha. Chopping Mall is still a fun one! It definitely flew by. I’m definitely happy to get the autos for them, I know you’ve got a bunch of autos, what’s your favorite signed movie or movie memorabilia?
You should do an autograph collection video, I know you’ve got some cool stuff, the mystery boxes you get are always fun. Have you gone to any conventions recently?
@Absolutesublime1 All the autographs you get in person because there's a story with it. My Friday the 13th autograph collection is some of my favorites. During a convention, I spent 20 minutes talking to Michael Berryman's sister while he ate pizza at the table. Dianne Franklin put my picture in her book that she wrote about the cult following of Better Off Dead. I have lots of stories.
Unfortunately I never saw this one as a kid, I would have loved it. I saw it for the first time a few years ago on Shudder and loved it. Pure 80s schlock, perfect for a popcorn night. Have you watched Phantom of the Mall? That's great fun too.

I gotta get Shudder again, do they still have Shudder originals? I haven’t seen Phantom Of The Mall but I do know of it, I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for reminding me about it.
I always loved Chopping Mall. My favorite part is when the blonde is banging on the window and the robot shoots the laser and her head literally explodes. I always had a huge crush on the short haired blonde who was also in "Night of the Comet".
Chopping Mall is still a blast! That’s a good one indeed ha, some great kills and thrills. Kelli Maroney was a little firecracker in a lot of these movies back in the day, she’s still acting now although the last movie I saw her in was rough to sit through; Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl A Rama 2 😬.
@@Absolutesublime1 Wait a second.....are you telling me that movie named "Sorority Babes in the Slime Ball Bowl-a-rama" got snobbed at the Oscars? 😂😂
My favorite horror movie of all time is probably The Evil Dead but it's kind of impossible to pick one. Catch me on a different day, I might say Alien or The Shining. Actually watched Chopping Mall last week also and loved the amount of Guess Jeans in it 😅 Barbara Crampton can do no wrong and how could you not love the 80s? So fun!
Here from the giveaway video. I thought chopping mall was a great cheesy movie. My favorite horror movie of all time fluctuates I’d either say night of the creeps, the stuff, trick r treat, or the blob.
I love this movie!! My favorite movie is one my mom took me to see as a kid and it was a double feature with another classic The Outsiders but the horror movie is One Dark Night!! My mom hates horror movies these days so it's crazy that we saw those 2 and maybe that's why I love those movies!!
I might do a video like this for my first time watching Hocus Pocus. I plan on watching it for the first time this weekend.
Will you do more of the shelf by shelf of your horror collection?
Yes I will, I’ve got a stack I need to do updates for then I plan to finish alphabetizing and I’ll start the shelf videos again.

That’s a good idea, thanks for that!
Alpha 5! 😂👌
Chopping Mall 5!
HI ALL
Well sad thing i remember it coming out lol
Haha that’s awesome though, did you see it in the theater or vhs?
Super Cringey that you watched this movie about teens hooking up in a mall after hours OFTEN as a kid. Yikes!
Super cringey comment 😂 you just described most horror movies in the 80s. Seriously weird thing to say 🤷🏻♂️.
