I kept repeating the catch ball scene at the end because it is so beautiful. Love the place, lighting and background song. It made me realize how fast time flies and nothing last forever 🥲
The ending really had me... when I was a kid I watched a movie that was similar to this one. The future version of the young kid, saved the younger version of himself and his brother. Now I'm an adult and I watched that movie again it still left me with tears a second time.. but now I understand why. The movie is called Zathura. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to change the future... then I quickly realize things happen as they're destined to be. Love for the family is my absolute number 1.
This movie is underrated. I feel like some people don't pay attention to the characters and what they are going through in their lives. I shed tears multiple times in this movie, and I know most of the movie is like comedy but that relationship between father and son... It felt real. It was joyful when eventually father and son went along and truly expressed their feelings and loved each other.
true, watching the movie at end getting to know u have to spend time with ur family, lookin back where u did some mistakes and if had a chance to meet it again you'll solve it again and never make a mistake.
This movie was especially difficult for me to watch. I only saw my dad a couple of times before the age of 7. He didn’t die or anything but he never reached out to see how I was doing after my mom and me moved to the US even though he could have if he really wanted to. This movie highlights how those wounds can stick with a person even into their middle age and beyond. This music definitely made that resonate a little more.
This movie taught me that everything happens for a reason. The characters, the story, it all taught me to look back on my life and not waste even a second. It also taught me to appreciate who I am.
No matter what you do, no matter how much power you have, some things are just inevitable and can't be changed. That's part of life. You have to go forward and make your best life - that's the theme of this movie that sticks with me
This soundtrack is here to remind us that whatever has happened to us with our fathers, can be fixed, they love us very much, we love them very much and we can change the course of how we continue our lives and heal so that we don't carry the pain in our own timeline.
Saw this movie not too long ago. My kids wanted to watch it. All I can say is this music had my wife and I so choked up. We both lost parents early. I lost my Mother when was 17...my wife lost both of hers by the time she was 17. I've lived more years without my mother than with and I cannot begin to explain how amazing it would have been or even be, for our parents to see us now. To see our children. To be able to catch them up on all that they've missed. I wouldne even be greedy with the time, but for me...to just be able to show her that I made it out of the darkness after her and how missed she has been. So much damage done. Treat your people better. Communicate. Treat yourself better. Be kind. Be brave. Because one day, we will be someone else's memory and all you have is whatever time you're given. Be blessed.
The way you feel trough this melody..eyes closed and going back to your childhood, first kiss, mom's cooking. I can feel my chest going soft fast with every tune.
Whoever composed this melody did a great job. The movie took me back to my childhood. I wish we could go back in time and get some bad things back. Yes, hold on to your family more tightly, because time flies in our hands, and God knows when we'll be together again. Our father was always perfect for us. I guess that's the fate of fathers. Being separated from your loved ones first.
I honestly wasn't sure what to expect with this movie.. Having Ryan Reynolds in it, I expected that it was going to full of jokes and sarcasm. However, I was surprised to see that his role was a serious role in which mustered up an emotional rollercoaster. The full cast, Zoe, Jennifer, young Walker, and Mark; did excellent in bringing the emotion to life as a viewer. Especially when Ryan told Jennifer, "Sons always come back for their moms..." Or when Zoe and Ryan finally reunited and she tells him that he has to leave her again, and that she knows he'll find her again... And the icing on the cake at the end when she walks into the class and tells her, "I found you..." Great movie!!! I never cry for anything and this had me on an emotional rollercoaster.
This film gave me chills. What a phenomenal masterpiece of picture and action. Laughter. Tears. One of the greatest journey's I've been on in a long time. Love your family you guys. Just love.
How much i miss my father, my mother and my brother. Listening to this with my eyes closed, I feel like we are holding hands. Together forever. Wishing the best to the whole world!
I cried so much watching this movie. You know it hurts to think that everything is flowing in one direction, and you can't do anything about it. You are a spectator and you can't change the past and the future. It hurted me so much watching it because how many time i would have told to myself of years ago what i've should did. I would give him the supports he needed it. Anyway it's an intersting concept of time travel shown in this film. Your life can't be perfect, and you have to experience the present and you can't escape from that.
Didn't expect I'd be shedding any tears watching this movie....now I'm here listening to this track, reading comments, thinking of my own past and shedding a tear or two again. Cot dang emotions!
you know .. I watched this movie a very long time ago, about 2 years ago. and now I looked again and because of this sound track and a sad moment in the film, it all makes me cry ..
It took shazam four tries to find this...I am happy that it finally did. Literally rewound the credits over and over during this piece. The beautiful sense of wonder, thrill, and excitement this brings - a whole life in just a few minutes.
This is one of those cues in the film which makes you look around to see if anyone else is crying with you, the entire suite of music along with the film is highly moving. You can hear the love between father and son, it's an extremely moving film, it's not about the future coming to fix the past, rather a redemptive story, with a hint of comedy. Rob Simonsen did an excellent job, cheers !
It`s beautiful! Really, chills here... Sounds a little bit like Time, from Hans Zimmer... Nice touch within the movie theme... I think it's a beautiful inspiration and tribute
I love the ending because it picture the reality that fathers do love their sons no matter what........that scene felt like crying and there is nothing we can change to be firm and bei g a man at the end!!!❤️❤️
Only two songs have made me shed a tear on UA-cam...this one and a choir singing Silent Night for some reason....i don't know why but it just did. >> ua-cam.com/video/8ri2thaAIyA/v-deo.html
I have just seen the movie, and when I heard this track, I simply shazamed it, I wanted to hear it, it's sooooo emotional, one of the greatest SF Movies ✨✨✨✨✨✨
This movie is great,it changes perspective how you look at the world, at your self....... it gives hope that with right choices we can make a better future for us and our family, cherish the most precious memories we have and make with our family....for better tommorow.......
Absolutely Beautiful and spellbinding work. A lovely melodic piece to adolescent melancholy and the adventurous spirit of the human condition. Well Done Rob. 👏 👏👏
Every time this song played in the movie, i would feel like letting a tear or two down my cheek. Each scene of it had a message. It's really a work of art
Another beautiful addition to my RyRey sleep playlist! 🥰 Although, that little middle endish triumphant section might be a tad difficult to sleep through.
Me recordo mucho a mi Papá la parte final, mi querdio viejito, el cual ya no esta conmigo, de verdad que te lloro siempre mi querido viejito, te extraño mucho
i feel ambivalent towards the catch scene at the end. i love but hate it at the same time, because it is so bitter sweet. I cry just because I put myself in his shoes and feel what it is like to turn around and to see that both of my children are gone would just absolutely break me.
this was my second encounter with Rob's beautiful composition in the past month, after his other work for The Way Back (also on Netflix, starring Ben Affleck). The Adam Project's scores (especially Catch & main theme) have certainly one-upped the scores from The Way Back, to me.
@@robertfraser8323 i remember that one! Tear-jerking scene where Ben Affleck's character realised he needed help moving past his late son after visiting his friend's dying son in the hospital. PS. Coda & Finding the Way Back were in my playlist too :)

Amazing piece of music. You know it’s good when you listen to it during the film and come straight to UA-cam to listen again
exactly !
That's exactly what I did. I had to have the whole piece.
and then download to your phone

If life was a soundtrack, this might be it.
I think the Civilization VI theme "The Dream of Flight" is the soundtrack of life. But this is also on the same level.
Best possible comment Damien Wilson.

Put yourself in any of the characters position, if you don't have overwhelming emotions then you are a robot.

not me actually crying during the catching ball scene, literally balling my eyes out 😭😭😭😭

If I was still a kid this would definitely be a movie I would rewatch a million times. Definitely got that childhood movie material
It does I agree I have watched it 3 times already.

Unfortunately no. Not all fathers change. No matter what you say or do.
@@johnnycash4034 That is not what this comment is about. I invite you to read it again.
