This remastered version sort of reminds me of the same 'High Charity Suite' soundtrack that was used in Halo: Legends. It is still one of my favorite masterpieces and this version brings that theme to life, which is so awesome.
To this day, the inside of high charity is still the most visually breathtaking thing ive ever seen in a videogame. Almost makes you feel sympathy for the covenant, like theres this entire city of millions of people down there, all dreaming of a promised land they have no idea has been a lie the whole time
This song gives me a hint that yes, at one time I was hurt, I hurt people, I’ve made bad decisions.. but that is in the past and the future is ALWAYS open for better things and change...
"Shall we let the Flood consume our holy city? Turn High Charity into another of their wretched hives? No enemy has ever withstood our might. The Flood, too, shall fail. The parasite did not defeat the Forerunners... and it shall not defeat us. Whosoever is gripped by fear, take heed. I am the Prophet of Truth... And I am not afraid. Noble Mercy is here at my side, his wise counsel ever in my ears. This crisis will not be the end of us. It is but one last hurdle before the journey and salvation! Now is the time of our unworlding, in a moment we shall all become... as gods. If you will falter, know this... one final effort is all that remains."
I like to think that Truth's faith in the Great Journey was mainly a facade since Truth is power-hungry megalomaniac, and he would do anything to gain more power and keep that power . However in Halo 3, in his final moments I think Truth has lost his already twisted mind and believed the lies he had told to the entire Covenant .
@@WhyTho525 The prophets were already aware of the tools of the forerunners because they alone spoke to mendicant bias and were told the purpose of the halo rings. Truth was just mesmerized by a big button and wanted to press it 😭
2:40"Things look different without the prophets lies clouding my vision. I would like to see our own world to know that it is safe" Rtas "Fear not. For we shall make it so" Arbiter "By your word Arbiter"Rtas "Take us home"
@@holapete2682 It would be very hard to get it to sound good. I would have to use most of the original soundtrack, the only remastered parts being the beginning, maybe just replacing the second movement with Into the Belly of the Beast, Arise in Valor and then the end with Charity's Irony. I could take a look into it though. I'll see what I can do. I did realize I never posted the remastered Cairo Suite, so I might as well do that too.
Yeah, back when I made it, I just tried to mix the remastered pieces that came out with the new album, with the original pieces. I wasn't that great with editing. I did make it with Audacity
@@ispilloil I thought I was listening to the unedited, remastered tracks. I did not suspect a fan actually created this as a merging of the new and old. In that light, it's not that bad actually.
Listening to this still gives me goosebumps. Such a perfect track

Love the bit about Mercy, since he was already dead before he even made that speech. Really added to Truth's cunning character

The original halo 2 version is still better
This isn't a remaster. It's a crappy cover that goes through the motions, but lost the heart and soul of what made the original great.
