Hi Alexander, the AirPort Extreme does not have an internal hard drive. If you have an internal hard drive I think you actually have a Time Capsule rather than a AirPort Extreme. If you have attached an external USB Hard Drive to your AirPort Extreme, then the instructions in this video will not wipe the external USB hard drive. However, next week we will post a video on how to factory reset the Apple Time Capsule. As this has an internal hard drive, part of that video will be to look at how to secure wipe the hard drive before completing the a factory reset.

Extreme shuts down unexpectedly Jan 2022 Maybe this is a solution ,But Apple does not support Extreme.
