@Cindy Gallegos because it all depends what yarn you choose to use 😀 I have the exact yarn / hook info for my actual work in the description box but you can use any yarn and any hook size you like x
Just watched a diagonal granny square last night and was fascinated at how simple it can be when one knows what one is doing. NOW I find how to join these very grannies on your video! Thank you so much I just subscribed to your channel now.
I’m 82 years old and very much admire your videos. You are a superb teacher. I find myself almost mesmerized as I watch you. Thank you, Robin. No matter what pattern you demonstrate, your technique for teaching is done to perfection. ❤
Thank you for your time, energy, effort, and everything else that goes along with making these videos... I know I'm not the only one who is very thankful and appreciative of everything you do for us!!!
Madam thank u I am from India I feel proud that at 63i learnt crocia with your tutorials now I can do flat circle granny square puffy v and Jasmine I will D we finitely try this I also feel like cynthiathurstone
I love doing boarders on work. it not only frames the work but if you use a color that compliments the colors of the body it looks cool. I usually use multicolored yarn if my body is solid color
I am so pleased that I found this tutorial! I too would like to second what Gregory Vozar's comments !! Lovely to learn from someone who has an undoubtedly sincere teaching desire.
My friend from work just told me she wants to learn crochet and I told her to check out your channel. You really helped me learn when I first began and I’m still learning from you!! Thank you!
Last Christmas, I was gifted 80 mini skeins of various colors of yarn. I came across this video. Thank you. Thank you. My blanket will be very colorful when done.
I have been crocheting for 60 years & have never seen this before. Incredible, you are so clear also with the instructions. Well done, will make a rug or perhaps a skirt. Thank you . 💖😻
Great video. Well done!!! Thank you for taking time to share your expertise with others. I have been crocheting for almost 50 years and this c2c square has got to be the easiest I have ever come across. The corners come out square every time.
It may be just a bit complicated at first, but once you have the groove of it, it's easier than other methods. The JAYG method is a lifesaver, so thank you so much for sharing!
That’s incredible I have been crocheting for 60 years & have never seen this before. Thank you for sharing & you are so clear & easy to understand. Well done, must try this. 💖😻
Just love it! Stitching squares together is annoying, SO this method is delightful. Your hand work is smooth and easy to follow regardless of how long the video is. It's long enough to get the pattern. Thanks so much for sharing.
Robin, I've been crocheting for YEARS, and yet, I have learned so MANY different stitches from watching your videos~! I'm actually making a feather stitch blanket at the moment, and I just love this stitch :) I've always made the granny squares in the old way, but now, can't wait to try this one! lol. . You are one hell of an inspiration! Thank you so much!!! :) I REALLY enjoy your videos :)
Been watching your videos for a few years and just love the way you teach. I have started this c2c join as you go as I am useless at sewing granny squares together! I am loving the way it’s turning out and don’t care what the join is called - it works and that’s what’s important. Thank you so much for this video and look forward to many more.
Thanks. I have been crocheting for two years now. I found this very easy to follow. I love listening to you and have loved all your patterns. I started learning amigurumi from you. You rock.
Ahhhhh…I LOVE the diagonal technique. It makes the chain spaces perfectly visible and lined up for the adding the new one. The joining is really nice and clean…very patchwork-y! I really think I can do this!
At first I thought it was going to be so difficult, but it's the coolest and the neatest way to join, I just love it!!! I have made myself another project to start!!!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful tutorial and a Happy belated Mother's day too!
Very nice instruction! I love how you use the bright blue background in order to see what you're doing better. My biggest frustration with some channels is how they use a white background when using light colored yarn. I enjoy your channel!
Thank you sooo much for making it easy to understand this pattern and to be able to follow along!! I have always struggled making granny squares, but my “lightbulb” just went off!! It all finally “clicked” and I get it THANKS TO YOU!! ❤️
I can't tell you how many times I went back and forth on your video before "I got it." But eventually I did, and I am ever so thankful that you took such time and such effort to explain everything to us so thoroughly. I am very happy with my blanket, and looking forward to making more of them. Your video was wonderful. Thank you for this beautiful creation and the information needed to duplicate it. 👍💕
This method of C2C is so much nicer than the ones I did before. The edge really does stay nice and even doing the extended DC as well as doing the cluster in the first space.
Lol! Yes, you must trust the process cuz this shonuff different for me and I see why u say it needs to be practiced. Watching you looks so simple to do, thanks for vid.
I've just started a granny square blanket but this will be my next one for sure.... this is very pretty. Thanks for sharing. Glad your doing videos again. I've missed hearing your beautiful voice.
Thank you very much for your video! Started again after many many years but you made it so easy I am enjoying my creation and it is going sooo fast! Many greetings from Greece!
You, Crochet Genius, you've brightened up my day. So happy I found you, your mesmerising voice, your beautiful, generous channel! Congratulations. From Spain with my 💖
As beautiful as it is to do in squares and joining, I’d like to make a huge C2C Granny Square. I did a regular Granny Square that way once. It makes a square afghan. Thanks for this C2C pattern - it’s so uniquely creative.
By far the best teacher in this craft. Absolutely love this C2C and followed along but for some reason ended up with 6 rows, not 5. No biggie until I got to the joining portion and came to a screeching halt :) . Not a problem - I'll go back and review how to end and connect one row and start next, eventually getting back on track. I was working with scrap yarn so not really into 'project mode' yet. Just wanted to take a few minutes to say how much I love your teaching technique. Go to the head of the class, Miss Robin - OOPS, you are already there - by default!
This is definitely tricky, but I love it. So easy to follow. I did four squares along with the tutorial just for practice. I'll practice on another four and put them together to make a bag or a pillow cover. Perfect!
I love your videos & even though I have been crocheting for decades, I continue to learn so much from your clear, easy to follow instructions. I am making a blanket in squares with an even number of clusters & when joining squares on two sides, missing the corner space on both adjoining squares doesn't seem to work & ends up with a square that is short of one row of clusters. Much head scratching & undoing of my work resulted from doing it this way & I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong! The only way I can make a square with the right number of clusters, is to miss the corner space on the square from the row below but then, rather than missing the corner space on the square just previously made, I join the first cluster to it. Thank you for all your hard work on your videos!😊
You are an amazing teacher, you have made this pattern so easy to understand. I’m new to crochet and this is by far the easiest tutorial ever. I thank you for sharing 💕
This method looks great! So glad I stumbled upon this tutorial. I have never done a C2C before..... cannot wait to try this. Thank you so very much! Great tutorial! 👍
I love this this. Your explanation of this is awesome!! Thank you so much for all your time and videos it is greatly appreciated. I don't care how long your videos are sometimes it is needed. Thanks again!
This is an amazing way to do the c2c pattern. Looks like it crochets 🧶 up quicker than the normal way. If there is a normal way. I really love this pattern. Thank You.
What a great tutorial! Thank you. I do follow you and know that you always do good stuff. But this was clearly done, repeated as necessary and very clearly shown. A+! 😘
I’m an intermediate crocheted, but it’s still nice to have a new stitch or technique repeated. I didn’t have to look up - I kept on moving along. Really just right and well done! 👍🏻
Hi I just wanted to say I really love how you explain each step and I literally don't get lost in each one of them. I already made two of your Amigurumi friends and my family loved it. I love your videos keep it up 🜲♡
This is the first time I've understood the c2c method thankyou my first attempt is turning out pretty good if I do say so myself, not ready to join yet,but I'm getting there 👍
Your my crochet hero. Ur videos are very well done. Love ur pretty hands, and ur voice. I cld listen to you all day. I've done c2c but not like this one. I do all kinds of things. I'm very good I must lol. Thank you for sharing
Hi Robin, This is such an awesome pattern. Thank you for taking the time to show us. It is scary at first when you start out but omg you explain it so easy to follow. I just finished a rectangle C2C blanket and love it, now I can't wait to start this one. 🧡🧡

This is so amazing and turns out awesome! Thanks so much for sharing your fantastic technique with us Robin!!! Love this for scrap projects as well! So talented and smart!

I'm loving working this pattern! Thank you for taking the time to do the video!! I don't do well with written or diagram patterns, so videos help me a LOT!!! ❤
Having mastered the c2c granny square pattern, I'm currently struggling to learn the JAYG method. I managed to join the first two pieces but I must say that while its a great way to use up scrap yarn to make the squares it can be rather cumbersome when joining up pieces for a large project but slowly and surely getting there.... thanks again for a great tutorial.
