The lay-back nature is a daily base, you can only be chill and try again when you get ready. As reference and all kind of records for them can be quite childish. Different people can tell you different story, in most of the case you will end up to wrong direction. So, if you cannot apply this time, it may not be your problem, just change another counter or branch 'it will work' magically! :D

I could absolutely feel GG’s frustration there, happy that she got the birth certificate sorted in the end. I'm glad the victory of the Springboks has brought some hope to South Africa again 🇿🇦❤ 🏉
Torres, having a HKID does not mean you are automatically for the passport, you must be born in Hong Kong to qualify for one. You can look this up on immigration.

GG is South Africa citizen now, so she cannot apply for a Hong Kong passport even if she is a Hong Kong permanent resident. Unless GG give up her South African nationality and obtains Chinese nationality from the Immigration Department.
