Arctic
When you find yourself traveling in the Arctic
While the wind blows
Remind them of me
Remind them I used to love them
If you travel through a blizzard
During the time when the river freezes
In the early fall
Make sure to dress warm
Make sure they are warm
I used to love them
Do yourself a favor and buy the CD. The liner notes include lyrics, Inuktitut lessons, and the artists' description of what the songs mean to them. Truly a gift.
Omg, I will buy it !
The lyrics are “woah woah woahwoahwoah “ and “woah oh oh”. Don’t really need the booklet.
Simply great sound and sceneries: great job Jerry cans! Love the music, the riffs and the magic inside the lyrics! Greetings from Verona, Italy.

I am in Inuit and I really love the song
I'm so in love with Riit's throat singing!
It's Nancy who is throat singing
Admittedly, as someone from the United States, I found out because of them because I wanted to do research on television shows from the Arctic. I stumbled across Anaana's Tent, and I found out the theme song was by this band. I fell in love with them immediately! Hello from New York!
Wow that’s so amazing to know how far this song goes, I am so proud to be Inuit ❤
I reside in North West River Newfoundland and Labrador Canada 🇨🇦 🍁
I've heard of The Jerry Cans before, but my first experience at hearing their music was when they performed "Ukiuq" for CBC's New Year's Eve celebration. I'm currently obsessed with this song! Everything about it just makes me want to dance, and I'm determined to pick up the words so I can sing along in full glory. Amazing music!
Torrak.. growing up in Greenland, i actually understood most of these lyrics.. Great song.
The leader singer's face in this makes me happy. You can just see how much he is feeling this music.
I listen to my CD by them a lot when I am feeling down and need to invest in some more. I identify with their aim as artists in trying to use their art to help people through suffering. I saw them at Bluesfest and hope to again some day.
I was today years old when I discovered you guys!!!! Wow!!! Love this this! Amazing throat singing..........
Thanks so much. Bringing Inuit to the world stage, one song at a time. This one rocks, video is awesome and I come back to it often when I need a reminder.
If you folks ever feel down, tired, or wonder with any DOUBT what you're doing just remember you help me keep going, and probably lots of others. Nakummek.
My Granddaughter

Thank you Junos for giving me a chance to listen to this amazing Indigenous Canadian music
Same...
Enjoying on repeat from Philadelphia, I don't understand a word being sung but I understand everything this song is about.
This needs an instrumental version so badly, so we can sing along, even if we do it badly.
When you see your old Uni buddy living his best life and it fills you with so much joy and gratitude 🙏
Keep shining ✨
I listened to this and thinking about why I love being here. The many ways music can touch your heart. The many forms music can take. I thank you for taking me on a journey to a place I have never been. It's a very emotional song.
So different, but so good! I am always searching for new music to listen to and this ticks all the boxes, Canadian Indigenous meets Anglo-Celtic Folk Music. I love the video clip, which makes me want to visit your part of the world! Regards from Australia.
It's been a while since I have lived in Canada, and a lot has changed - for the better. This is helping me get the Nunavat thing, thanks. Damn I miss snow.
Since my phone has this translator included, I'll use it to say THANK YOU FOR THE MAJESTIC MUSIC.

That is why Kanata, is Canada. World stage? . Take care of 'your own'. That means.....' the 'ones' who were here first!!!! Because, they are beyond it, they play it off. And always will be. The Jerry Cans know it. 14 years old and my Pops took us to Mossonee, on the shores of the Hudson/James Bay. Met and played with the local 'kids'. Changed my life and ideas. I love what has been! And still, will be!!!
This song is stuck in my head...has been for weeks...and all I can sing along with is the woa oh oh oh oh part...love it so much
My friend Richard F speaks very highly of you all!
Music came from indigenous peoples from all over the world throughout history. This is undeniable. Just because some people don't identify with it or understand it doesn't mean it doesn't belong. Language and style through indigenous influence can be put into ANY style of Music. You name it. Jazz, rock, funk, reggae country, etc. When Nancy throat sings in those songs, it takes the song to another level of communication. There is depth and meaning to that. A song within a song. Multiple layers of expression. Music, no matter how it is produced, is about communication through sound, expression and feel no matter if it comes from a persons throat, hands, feet or from an instrument.

I am from the "other side", greetings from the other side, Upernavik! :)
The crunch of the snow and the coyotes howling gets me every time...might not be coyotes on the track, but being from northeastern Alberta, I get woken up by those howls every spring and fall. First, when the moms have the babies in spring and when they kick them out of the dens in fall. Nature might be cruel, but she will have her way!
Maanna ukiarnerani ililiats atsimi dakillungid immamiiddid maqaasinarsisarpud, soorlu qajaasaarlini saneqqukkaanni dusarneq in a total silence, the only thing one hear is the water dripping from the paddle.. :)
Jay Brant from Moose Factory Ontario. You performed on our stage for the gathering of our people 2019. Great band excellent music and I hope to get a chance to work with you again in the future. Keep the new tunes coming. I cant stop talking about you guys and this song is always in my family gatherings. Cheers
