Greetings from New Jersey, USA. I've been aware of you for several years and continue to be impressed, but this track really does it for me! Thank you! Great video, too. Heard the song on CBC-3, a favorite channel on our SiriusXM satellite radio in the car. What an incredible amount of talent there is in Canada!
We listened to your song yesterday in my Quebecois Literature class. We recently finished a book that takes place in Salluit. I am so glad to be taking this class because we’re mainly focusing on First Nation authors and poets of Quebec, and the authors' representation of the land and how it shapes their characters' identities.
@ the book was called “On a tout l’automne” by Juliana Léveillé-Trudel. It was in French. I don’t know if that book is in English, but her book “Nirliit” has been translated into several languages.
@@madeleinereads So nice of you Madeleine for answering me, I also speak french so now I can find the book, this course must be so interesting, many thanks and may the year to come brings you all you need to reach your goals and dreams✌️
@@Joy-fc6kg Merci! Thank you! We didn't read "Nirliit" in the class (not enough time), but it is on my TBR. It has the largest selection of First Nations literature in Quebec). If you're interested, in the class we also read: "Kukum" by Michel Jean(2019) - my favorite book we read in the class "Un Thé dans la Toundra" by Joséphine Bacon (poems) "Atiku utei : Le cœur du caribou" by Rita Mestokosho (poems) "Bleuets et abricots" by Natasha Kanapé Fontaine (poems) "Manikanetish" by Naomi Fontaine "Le lièvre d’Amérique" by Mireille Gagné "Qu'as-tu fait de mon pays?" by An Antane Kapesh (short story - one of my other favorites from the class); I believe that An Antane Kapesh was the first to write in her native Innu-aimun language.
