Hi Rosie, thanks for making this video, it was exactly what I needed to watch. It has given me the courage to open the package with my Neewer 480 LED video light in it! It's been sitting on the floor unopened for 3 weeks because I was afraid to test it out without getting a C Stand to pop it on. I thought that the bracket, being metal, would be too hot to hold in my hands. But watching you open your package and set yours up has debunked that misinformed idea! I think you look better with the lights at either side of the camera rather than with the lights behind the camera IMHO. I wish I got the pack of two now, after discovering your video. I too am working with a window for light. I am hoping to use the daylight as my key light. Wish me luck! I am also going to be sitting on a sofa, as well as dealing with the puzzle of where to place my hair light; which is another issue to solve. Thanks again for making this video. Good job!

Thank you so much! No I don’t use these lights as I’ve been backpacking around the world for the last 16 months! I have a small light that I use for vlogging when it’s dark. And the tan colour for my thumbnails is probably just using Canva and removing the background of an image and adding that instead.. maybe that’s what you mean? Which video has this so I can know for sure..?
@@RosieAndre I ordered the models with the barn doors to direct simulated sunlight on a green screen for background light. In my experiments, I put a Blue Screen in bright sunlight outside on green grass, and it was perfect. And those lights there simulate sunlight for indoor use, plus they have batteries and cords! (batteries not included)
Just wondering if 2 of these wld be enough for recording in some distance, like a dance video on a. What do you think? I will use in one room with ambient lights but sometimes I have to use a not so britght studio.
These lights you can adjust the brightness, so if you want the brighter or dimmer, you can adjust them at the back. I would suggest you get some, and you can always return them if they're not right.. it's hard for me to say without seeing where you would use them!
There are so many types of lights for shooting! I also have two. Recently, I use only godox instead of neewer ... The video was very interesting! I will come to play again. With love from Japan :)

One of the power bricks on my set died pretty fast. Around six months I guess. Have not tried to get it replaced yet. Good lights for the money otherwise.

I also do youtube videos and I want to order these lights after seeing your video. Have you tried them outdoor when there is no much light? Just curious
No I haven't.. I record all of my videos indoors so I'm not sure how strong they would be outdoors.. but you could always try them and send them back if they're not what you need..
I haven't ever used soft boxes for video. These have harsh light and soft boxes would be softer, but like I said I can't compare with something I haven't used before.. sorry!

Your shot is getting dark because your camera was set to auto which the camera will adjusts for the brightness. so set it on manual and you're good
