You can also undo the bolts on driver side of the bed and loosen the passenger and lift the bed and place a Jack stand to hold it in place, you can get to the fuel pump/ connector that way instead of dropping the bed
This video is best conditions. If your using a Hydraulic Jack tand or remove bed to remove pump, it will be a lot more difficult. Need to syphon gas first to decrease weight of tank. This is not realistic demonstration but there is good show and tell advice here.
It is a whole lot easier to do if you take the bed bolts loose from the frame and either remove the bed or jack it up on the tank side of the truck. I stopped watching when I saw you removing the tank like that.
