I love all these crafts! I am getting ready to leave my mom's beautiful little cottage and going to move into my own home. It is very very tiny but I look forward to revamping my space and doing some different things to decorate with that I have never done before. My new little home has character and was made in 1947 for the US soldiers and their families to have homes to come home to after WWII. My sewing craft area will be in my bedroom but in the living room I will have my mom's long harvest table to put a tarp down from.the Dollar Tree for painting, staining small things. I have yet to find the plastic garden stakes and have looked for many years. I have 2 metal trellis my neighbor gave me one with a pretty sunshine face, the other one with dragonflies and butterflies. I want to paint them black and then where the face is and the insects go over them with authentic colors and have them in corners as is or with mini clothes pins attach nice photos to them. I use to have a set of reclaimed shutters I painted yellow and made them into a head board where I lived years ago. I am sorry I did not save them as I would love to make this night stand. Thank you for wonderful inspirations. Sincerely, Rebekah in VA
This sounds so charming!! I love that🥰 I wish I could help you; it sounds like so much fun!! I'd only add a charming little English garden with bits of Ivy, Geraniums, a patio bistro set, little ceramic garden decor, hummingbird feeders and a birdbath. Ahhhhh. this sounds like such a dream!! 🥰💞🌷☕ Enjoy every moment of this! 🥰
Thank you all for your encouragement. You all are better than some of my family members. Every time I took a load of things to my little shadow box, I had a smile on my face and cannot wait until I am there full time. I am pretty much solo for this move and I have lots with my mom's and my items. Very overwhelming at times. I have to be out by March 1st at 11:59 pm per the executor. I am taking a little rest now at 5 50pm and then I will get to pack more. The movers come at 8am on Monday. It has been a rough road with my mom being sick and I was hoping to buy my mom's house but it is valued too high and my brother and sister want a large piece of the pie. Hope everyone has a great weekend, Rebekah
I am NOT into farmhouse decor and somehow I was fascinated enough by the video to watch it all the way to the end…even though I would never apply any of the suggestions shown. They made it look so easy and fun that I got sucked right in!
I grew up on a large farm in the county and almost of our neighbors were farmers or had been till they retired & like them most of their parents were also & farm house style become so popular especially the decor that was made to look rustic a few people stopped by looking for something old to rework as home decor pieces & they didn't have any because the items were usually old and outdated & had been thrown out ,if only the older farmers were to have saved those things think about all the money they could have made but by that time they needed & wanted to upgrade with things that made farming easier and better.
Having been raised on a ranch I own many old dented items like block & tackle, a milk can, 50 yr old discarded beer cans, smudge pots, etc. Even my grampa's axe sharpening stone! They're precious to me & a reminder of simpler times.
Yes ma'am This lady is so creative smart talent loved Everything she shared 💕. This is my favorite video from this channel ever, I hope she'll share more home decor with us soon. tks & love from the peach 🍑state Georgia that is
I asked my dad if I could snag an old one from the barn. I brought it in, cleaned it up, oiled it, and bingo! It is one that was used to reach the small loft in the barn. My grandpa built a new one but of course saved the old one. So the one I have was built by my Great Grandpa. 😊
That shutter nightstand was hideous!! Sorry - it just was!! Some paint might have improved it somewhat! Everything else was pretty nice - thanks for the video!!
Could you imagine your husband walking and out of the house, all around the outside and the garage, then you ask, "what are you looking for?" And he says, "I haven't been able to find the ladder for weeks. I think some kids stole it from outside." And you say, "wow, that's crazy. Yeah, I bet someone took off with it."
You could slow the video's playback speed. They _should,_ however, include some of the less obvious items, equipment, tools, etc. in the description area for some of the projects.
LOL...if you like a place that is rustic, rundown with peeling paint, mismatched furniture and weathered wood.....come on to my house. It's been looking like that for 30 years and I haven't even tried...I guess I should start calling it shabby chic. 😐😐😐😐😐
@@BL3SSed-Bliss I used to and have many relatives that have. The homemakers took pride in making sure their homes looked clean, tidy and would never have dreamed of installing barn hardware inside the house, for instance. Floors and woodwork were polished and chipped paint, rust and weathered furnishings were considered signs of poverty.
@@juliem.679 Very cool, Julie! Nonetheless, many farm-residents _do_ live like this, and are equally proud of their homes. 🥰 Even those who are live in poverty, or whom _others_ consider as such.🙏🏽😇 Be well!
I used that Gator Hide product on my front door, as a sealer, over a Dixie Belle paint. Would not recommend! Terrible to work with, very difficult. Ruined my door and I had to sand it and start from scratch.
Need to know what the names of those boxes that help with different cuts for wood and for the placement of inset nails, screws. Think one box is blue and another I have seen is yellow. Need names so I can order them to help me in some upcoming projects around the house. Thanks in advance folks.

I am so into farmhouse decor to make things simple and cheap !!! And look good .
Love the window picture frame cool
These tutorials are AWESOME! 🙌🏼
Best idea video yet!
Now I want to do all these projects 😂.
I often wonder what REAL farmers and their families think of these 'farmhouse' makes??
I grew up on a large farm in the county and almost of our neighbors were farmers or had been till they retired & like them most of their parents were also & farm house style become so popular especially the decor that was made to look rustic a few people stopped by looking for something old to rework as home decor pieces & they didn't have any because the items were usually old and outdated & had been thrown out ,if only the older farmers were to have saved those things think about all the money they could have made but by that time they needed & wanted to upgrade with things that made farming easier and better.

I guess British farmhouses are different.
Lol
It would really be nice if You gave Us a little more than half a second to see the finished product!
Love the shudder bedside table!

Kill The Music 🥴. Great Projects!
Simply _mute_ it, as I did, ladyday! 🤍
What is your source for the sliding/ hanging door?
I'd like to know that, too.
That shutter nightstand was hideous!! Sorry - it just was!! Some paint might have improved it somewhat! Everything else was pretty nice - thanks for the video!!
That off key whistling was brutal. Aarrgh.
_Mute_ it!
Great ideas.
The top of your DIY FARMHOUSE TABLE is gorgeous, but those folding metal legs are awful. Do you know of a way to farmhouse those up a bit?
My thoughts exactly. Those legs are way too skinny to support the additional weight, especially if the table is loaded with a full dinner.
How about actually thrifting a nice vintage table? Facebook Marketplace is my go-to for inexpensive furniture

Rundown farmhouse. Hope I never have to live in one. :)
They're probably haunted

What color of stain did you use on the folding table?
Loved the video, but the music drove me insane!🤪

OhMyGosh! Less is MORE on that wreath
I thought everyone was sick of farmhouse.

"Farmhouse" is actually what city people think a house on a farm looks like. It's laughable.
Not according to a number of farm residents.
Do you live on a farm, Julie?

They are mitre boxes.

Mitre boxes. I have a wooden one that was my great grandpa's, and a yellow one that I use.
