- Today, Marie is sharing her delightful recipe for Toasted Honey Taffy - a delicious and refined sugar-free homemade candy perfect for the winter months. Ingredients:
- 2 cup honey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A dash of (Redmond REAL Salt) salt
- Butter for greasing
Instructions:
1. Grease a 9x13 baking pan with butter.
2. Combine honey, heavy cream, and salt in a saucepan and bring to 280°F.
3. Stir in baking soda and pour onto the greased pan.
4. Allow it to cool in the refrigerator before pulling and stretching the taffy.
5. Shape the taffy into bite-sized pieces and wrap individually (with parchment paper) if desired.

That looks AWESOME, but my old butt couldn't do that ! LOL
If i just make half the recipe, it shouldnt change anything right? I'll still bring it to 280°F and follow exactly as the recipe says? Does the taffy pieces get really hard once they set or stay on the soft side? Looking forward to trying this! My mom always made taffy but it was made with white sugar, vinegar & water!
