I used to tell my daughter this when she was little and we would watch that big harvest Moon come up thru the bottom land and she's 41 now and she still tells me about how big and beautiful the moon is where she lives and she now says those words to me!!! Thanks Jimmy Hall for singing it so well!!!
Wonderful song. Jimmy is that voice and passion sent from Heaven. National Treasure ❤️🇺🇸 Greg Allman/Jimmy Hall-greatest Southern Country Blues Rock Vocalists to ever walk this planet
I only discovered Wet Willie and Jimmy recently. I was watching a Jeff Beck live thing and couldn't believe the vocals. Had to find out who it was. I know you U.S. guys have known Wet Willie for years, they passed me by in the UK. But jeez, what talent. Beautiful songwriting. Can't stop watching all the UA-cam stuff that's out there. Love, love, love it ❤
1971...Wet Willie used to play at the University of Georgia at Memorial Hall on football weekends. That voice and harmonica sound as good as they did back then. If you never saw these guys live you've missed a treat. "We gonna Roll Like a Wheel in a Georgia Cotton Field!"
Wow!!! That voice is still just as smooth as butter. Nice melody. I'm glad that these guys are still recording and performing. Thanks for the upload Bill Flowers.
I have been a Wet Willie fan almost my entire life ( I am 57 ) . Saw them in concert many times in the 70s , once in the 90s and again in 2015. This song has been stuck in my head since the latest show. How many noticed that Jimmy cries during this performance thinking about his daddy but still completed the song flawlessly ?
Absolutely Beautiful.... I am so fortunate to have met Jimmy Hall at the Jeff Beck Stars Align tour this year. He is so humble and handed me a personalized set list. Saying "I have a gift for you". A moment in time.I will treasure for my eternity....
I was buy the "Manorisms"in '83 and they were unknown here in Greece!!!Recently i was find the whole discography in the internet.WHAT A SOUND!!!Das anybody knows if they're still actives???
Most underrated, talented band of the 70s. Jimmy is a hell of a performer. I new their cousin and we saw them in Chattanooga in the 70s backstage was a blast for a highschool kid LoL
I ran away from Colorado and I left my friends and family behind..... But I always remember the words my Daddy Willy (Papa) said to me......... just follow your feet you will come back home. It has been 18 years now and I have moved so many times in between..... but this song I carry with me ... Thank you so much , Gracias
Great Song, Thank you for sharing it with us. I remember the Fox in the old days in Mobile (1969) at the park and then out at Brookley. It was a great time. I'm glad Wet Willie continues to add such great music to our world..
so glad to see these guys on here.. thank you... the first song my husband ever played for me.. was 'make you feel love again.. just over 36 years ago... we will see these guys in heaven when we all get there.. so gifted.. and so comforting..
Beautiful song, ..................I just gave my youngest son our Baldwin piano,....I told him that it had to stay here until I either had 7 pianos in the front room (their are already 2 ) or I'm ......................just a story that people who knew me tell, with a smile on their face.
Saw Wet Willie in the Orange Bowl in Miami with the Allman Bros 74 or 75. Was never that much of a WW fan being from the Southwest -- but mostly because the radio played Keep on Smilin' to death back in the day. Regardless, I have since come to really appreciate this band -- they are a GREAT southern soul and rock band. Wish they would come to NM or Colorado.
love this song! The first time I heard it was one an old Marshall Tucker Album... Didn't even realize at that time who wrote this one.... One of the great tunes!
I’m from Flint Mi. The video of them with Grand Funk doing “Locomotion”came out and every guy I know was in love with Donna,Myself included but who competes with Mark Farner??
