Great job! Although hammering a metal screwdriver into a steel tank could have ended badly if Mr. Sparky payed a visit. 💥

I remember one of my first bronco projects on my 94 was replacing the rusted gas tank. I opted for a plastic tank even if it was more expensive it wont ever rot or rust now. But side story aside nice lil diy video. Glad to have someone with walk throughs for bronco repairs!

@@broncobabeadventures4316 Thank you for your reply, Your videos are an inspiration., I'm in the process of replacing the power steering pump in mine. Out side of painting everything a gloss black heat treated paint during the replacement process. I have also replaced the pulley with a billet aluminum polished pulley. I know it sounds crazy about installing something that nice on a crappy old Bronco. But the goal is to eventually rebuild this thing one step at a time. Hopefully I will be able to tackle the brakes next along with a new 4bbl intake manifold and 800 cfm Edelbrock. Please keep sharing your videos!

The upgrade is good choice, did the same, but I used Body Speed nuts instead of Nut and Bolt working solo is a Bich, but I will take your Dirt driveway over my rocky one any day. And the "Filler Hose" why did ford make it so dam tuff to install, great video. Just surface rust. Nice and you used Paint not under coating, better choice once under coating gets loose holds water routs out the body or frame.

Does the skid plate get pressed against the tank which over time created the hole in tank? Or is there a gap since it didn't leak until you loosened skid plate. Awesome job putting it all together, I hope to have another Bronco soon and I guess I can use your videos for training.

    • @matthewwaters3802

You are my hero. Do you want to get married😊
Roll up your sleeves get dirty and get it done.
Use your hands arms knees whatever it takes. Big hammer little hammer punch a hole in it but get it done.
And do it all with a smile on your face.
    You are awesome!!!
Something you might want to look into is a product called " rust converter" that is not a brand it is just what it is.
What you do is very lightly wire brush things down. And I do mean very lightly cuz you want it to be rusty just not flaky.
Brush on rust converter. It is very thin and goes a long way it's almost like milk. It will turn green and then eventually black and actually turns into a protectant primer. And then you can paint over it or leave it as is.
Word of warning when using rust converter. Do not dip out of the main jug or pour old unused converter back into the main jug. It will contaminate it and ruin it. So only pour into a small container and use as needed.
I'm fixing to subscribe and see how your project goes and maybe it will inspire me to do more with my Bronco.
    Good luck. You are awesome!!!
