The new heros light and heavy damage is very low if they wanna nerf the 95 damage finisher then they have to raise the light and heavy damage which ruins the point of the character
Not really, 60-50 would be a pretty compensating dmg for the build up, 95 is just ridiculous, not in dominion as the video explained, but in duels he can just turn the game with 2 guard breaks , like wtf, 3/4 of a player health. Or they could maintain the dmg but change the guard break to only perform the light version punish build up, so you gotta work more for the finisher. There’s lot of ways to do this actually, but common 95 is too much, not mentioning he could just pop a finisher in dominion in the finale and take all hopes of a guy making a turn back in the match at the end, because he can one shot (145) dmg, something like that

People just see huge damage number and go "ohhh ubi making another broken hero wahh" Edit: honestly best thing to do for the one shot would be to make his 95 damage move not effected by damage buffs so you can't get it to 149

FARAM I loved that presentation man. I would love to see more things like that for crucial changes to the game like this. It really helps people understand that the game is changing and that’s fine

Joining the crew here, doesn't think he is broken. Using a "stacking then release" is common in many games but it was missing in FH (well technically you stack then release revenge but...).

Actually i don't mind the 95 to 149 dmg because it's he's unique move and you need to hit your opponent with all 7 weapons then you can use it. Which is kinda balanced in my opinion
Remember jorm's slam got nerfed even though it was extremely difficult to set up and it was ONLY 65 damage. I can appreciate the new hero but it leaves a sour taste in my mouth that the hero will be cool for a month, enough for people to buy early access, then they will nerf them into playing like every other hero.
Man i wish sohei, when he gets all the souls, he unlocked a new move, like shugo's hug, with that same imput, so you can still use your bash if you don't want to use your mega hit, but you have the choice of the hug

I dont think he'll be crazy in 4s, outside of his ganks possibly. His 1s will be average probabaly. Overall not a crazy hero but he looks dope and has a unique playstyle and design so tbh cool hero overall. Like 7 or 8/10.
@@oIRydahKCIo being a big guy doesent make a weapon lighter in that regard, it still has distributed weight, swinging a spear or glaive of that size with one hand is gonna be clumsy and awkward, no matter how strong you are. Its the same with varangian, she uses a twohanded battleaxe, with one hand. Even though she mainly swings with it from the middle of the shaft, its still gonna be awkward to swing due to the weapon not being balanced properly.
Just holding a 2h weapon with 1 hand is fine like in neutral, but yea it can not be understated how much effectiveness just gets thrown out the window when not using both hands while defending and trying to strike.

Honestly, my only gripe is that he's another two chain combo character (not including zone attack). It wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the fact that many of the previous heroes we've gotten are either two-chain attacks or infinite-chain combos. I would've loved to see him have three chain combos instead. Could even let the last two attacks in a combo give him resources to get his ability a bit quicker, though that might make him a bit op, I think it wouldnt be too much given how peculiar his playstyle and damage is.

Kyoshin, Pirate, Ocealotl, Medjay, Varangian, Afeera, etc.) We just haven't gotten a new character with more than two and less than "YABBA WILLY" (infinite) amount of attacks. It's just a pattern. I've noticed that the developers taking and finding it can lead to stale and sometimes unnecessarily limiting movesets and playstyles. But that's just me, I reckon, it's not like the end of the world that another character has these things after all, and he seems interesting enough even without to be honest. P.S. @jahgames9170 One change I'd like for Sohei is the ability to select which three weapons get soul charges in a GB, instead of the current light weapons, then heavy weapons. So it'd be _any_ 3 of the 6 weapons in a GB attack. Light, heavy, light, for example.
60 damage would be absolutely not worth it, exe or no. Opportunity cost. Realistically, most often you’re going to see 1 gb and 3 chain finisher lights, which do very little damage, to get the 95 damage stab. With any other character, if you eat a gb and 3 light chain finishers, you have almost certainly lost more than 100HP in the fight by then.

Orochi needed these changes. If they nerf him even further I’d be very confused unless it was another damage nerf, bc you can react to everything else, it was just his dodge attacks. I just don’t think he needs more nerfs especially to storm rush, it’s already reactable enough.

Spoiler alert: you can get it to 149 dmg but I dont see a problem with this hero either
The anti ganks will be broke. Gets revenge perhaps kill 1. Then use 1 hit bash. Then activqte tier 4 and boom 2 1 hit kills.

You can do that, you need to do zone attack after bash to do 95 dmg
You can still use your bash even with the one hit, you just can’t zone after bash as that’s the input for the impale

Without enhanced dodge-lights he is less impressive in dominion I think... Would like to feel it in a game first though :)

He's a big guy. It only makes sense that the weapon is lighter weight to him than to someone like Nobu's stature.
