- Within the boundaries of the growing city of Queretaro, you will find an enormous pyramid that is only a few minutes drive from the centro!
Sitio El Cerrito is an expansive archeological site with a small museum and one of the largest pyramids in this region.
I love Queretaro!! I spend a bit over a month in a home stay with a local family apart of a community service program and loved every bit of it. I am bummed out that I didn’t visit this site but am glad I could see it here thanks to you

DUDE... Jesus didn't come to Mexico... and the forced conversion was one of Christianity's most objectionable aspects... I'm a Christian by free will and your little trip down this religious BS at the end is very offensive in a land that was forced under oppression and slavery... whether or not you feel the missionaries were justified... Millions of indigenous died in the name of RELIGION... NOT in the name of Jesus... that was not HIS way...
But that's exactly the point I was trying to make.
Jesus Christ came to save the entire world, every people in every nation.
But there have been many religious denominations who have perpetrated many atrocities in the name of Jesus Christ.
They have used the name of Jesus Christ to do things that have nothing to do with Him, and actually go against His teachings.
The biblical message of Jesus Christ's salvation is much simpler (and in a lot of cases) much different than what many organized religious denominations teach.
I completely agree that forced unbiblical religion has led to the deaths of countless people all over the world. The inquisitions which were perpetrated in the name of Jesus Christ are a prime example of Christ's name being wrongly used for gain, and it has nothing to do with Him.
I'm not Roman Catholic.
