Description: I had to refill a bunch of Coleman propane 1 pound bottles that were empty, so I figured out how to easily and cheaply refill them from my large propane tank at home instead of trying to find a Propane refilling station near me or dispose of them in the landfill. This ended up saving a lot of money, so I might continue using this method.
Here are links to the refillable propane tank adapter and the forceps that I used to refill 1 lb propane tanks:

-Forceps (also called hemostats): amzn.to/3rjXVWr

Very interesting. I just now after years of using fuels a different types and trying to figure out to get a decent long-term camping Roadtrip setup realized that propane is always kept out of the same pressure regardless of container 😂 I can't believe I had forgotten and then completely missed it for several years. I was really worried you were going to blow up the little tank until I remembered that it's a liquid under pressure and a gas in the atmosphere😂 thanks for the video!
Glad you liked it. It's best to check with your country and local government for laws on its legality.
Points camera at the ground "can you see that?"
😂😂😂
Yeah, sorry about that.
@@JasonSipe16 no worries. I do the same thing...
Remember to wear gloves kids
We already had these adapters on the way before watching this video. Very useful thanks. We have decided not to release the gas and fill them to the top with L as our bbqs have the canisters on their side in use. We are concerned about the chance of L weep while cooking. Especially when refusing over and over etc. Not a criticism, just an observation based on our usage.
Makes total sense! Thanks for watching
I got one of those and have been afraid to use it. Does the small one ever blow up or anything?
That video was just me showing how I did it. The canister did not blow up.
I don't see the point of pressing the plunger. It just fills to equal pressure regardless, right?
Not really, it needs to have air at top removed.
@@JasonSipe16 I don't understand how there would be any air without it having been exposed to the atmosphere. Should only be some propane gas.
@joewoodchuck3824 you're right, I meant propane gas. But you're trying to put liquid into the tank, and the gas won't allow it to fully fill.
@@JasonSipe16 I'm curious if you've weighed vented vs. invented fills to measure difference between them..
Yeah, weighed them. There's a discernible difference between the two.
