Hearing this story and you giving all your credit to God man. You remind me of myself right now and where I’m kinda at. I love this story man. God bless you and your company, much love bro.
Thank you for doing these videos. I really enjoy outside work running equipment and am thinking of starting a side business while keeping my main job. So these are very helpful. I too have been asking God for direction.
Thank you for all the info brother. Looking to get started my self , Sold my semi truck and looking to invest in my first dumpster trailer and skid steer with cash. You motivated me more with your videos💯. God bless brother.
Nice work man! From a wealth building perspective, real estate is hands down the best way to go about it. So my recommendation to you my friend is to use the profits from excavating and buy apartment buildings!
Awesome dude! And I’m actually thinking about taking the profits from the sale of a house to buy an excavator. I love moving dirt. My dad has a 4WD tractor and a big ole scraper. He does a lot of flat work. Driveways, shed pads etc.
No sir, I refinanced my existing mortgage. I had enough equity built up after I remodeled that I was able to refinance my house for more than I bought it for. Used that cash to get established.
A lot of guys that do trucking there wife's work mine never did mine was started before i got. Married but i made it hang in there i had 40 acres and put a pit in and now being retired still collect royalties from the material they sell 😊 5:01
I’ve been self employed with an excavation business for over two years now and starting my own channel soon! Love the story, Keep it up Cole! Trust in God and he won’t let you down. 🙏🏻
Heck yeah man! Love to hear it! Let me know if you have a questions about getting starting with filming. I was on the struggle bus for awhile when I started 😂
Amazing success brother! I’m in central KY wanting to start a side gig with a track loader. Do you have any suggestions on what’s the best equipment to get. Kinda thinking of starting either doing brush cutting
Awesome testimony brother. I am also trying to get into excavation. Any advice for someone with next to no experience in excavation? What would you invest into first equipment wise? I got a truck but that’s it so far.
Personally I’d buy a trailer and then rent while you can. At least till you learn the ropes and get a good understanding for how long different scopes of work take.
@@MORE_DIRT that’s a great direction. Much less liability issues to possibly run into. I appreciate the advice! Looking forward to more videos on your Chanel geared to getting an excavation business started.
Yep, the original homeowner took the cheapest route of the build. They had TK do the absolute bare minimum. I’ve redid a lot of it. Overall happy with it, I actually do a lot of backfills for TK customers in southern Indiana
I’m currently seventeen at a dental internship. But I’ve always had a passion for big machines , I currently want to go under a civil engineer internship program and start a side hustle with an excavation business. Problem is it’s too much money
Hey man, I'm a 19 year old from Scotland and an apprentice civil engineer. I am one of those types of people that urgently need some sort of side project I can fully immerse myself in to the same extent as my full time job. You sound like an extremely wise person and someone I can learn from. I'd just love to know your perspective on my situation and what you would do from my situation. I am ready to chuck myself at something fully as I understand the importance of singleness of purpose, but I just want to be sure I'm putting my time and effort into the best thing possible. If you could reply I'd be more than greatful. Also, would you mind sharing what you make on a yearly basis? and what you're projected to make in say 5 - 10 years from now?
Basically it’s a whole new mortgage. With a lower rate. My mortgage per month actually went down and I took $ out. It’s still a loan but it’s a mortgage not a business loan.
You didn't just have faith in God, you took action. Work like it all depends on you, but pray like it all depends on God. Go find another fixer upper and do it again using the knowledge you gained.
I bought my 1st piece of equipment (Takeuchi skid steer) after saving for a year with cash , but have yet to start an official business. Have any tips for finding work in the 1st two years of starting an excavation business?.. I just passed all three of my GC license tests in my state of Florida. Think it would be smart to start two businesses or stick with one and do both?
Many many years ago my cousin started his excavating business by buying a grave route. Yes. Digging graves. That mini excavator made all the payments on his big equipment during the recession.
The perfect Christian admits he's not perfect but at the same time processes God in his life. My excavation company start was 2002, I couldn't get hired by excavation companies back then due to lack of experience, so I knew someone who would hire me, so I started my own buisness and hired myself. To this day, 22 years later, I've never worked for another excavation company, and all my experience came from learning as I go. I now do 3.5 mil year in buisness. I became successful because of God and my drive to succeed.
one thing too it’s a HUGGGEEE difference between “excavation” and site work.. i see dudes with a skid steer doing jobs they don’t know how to do.. work for a site work company right outta highschool if u wanna get in this business learn from ppl who really know what there doing
so your dad owns a successful hvac contractor lol…. i bet ur mom either works for him or doesn’t work at all.. im sure they NEVER helped u at all how did u get a mortgage making 18$ an hour ?? off a dirtbike bud u can’t buy a house cuz u financed a dirtbike 😂😂😂😂
Parents are divorced, dad didn’t give me one $ towards my house. He did however give me a drive home service van. Which I used to remodel this house. My wife and myselfs combined income is how we bought it. $185k
I’ve got no reason to lie. I left my dad’s business because I didn’t want to be an hourly employee for the next 20 years. I made a huge change and risked my lively hood because I wanted to chase a dream. Anyone locally that knows me can tell you that this is 100% legit. No one gave me anything for free and no one damn sure has ever gave me money. I utilized a low interest rate and sweat equity to change my life. It’s not rocket science, it’s hard work.

Well said at the end. Amen brother. God bless you
that is how most people become successful real estate is in everyone's portfolio the most common way to wealth
So you took out a 2nd mortgage to buy the skid and excavator?
No sir, I refinanced my existing mortgage. I had enough equity built up after I remodeled that I was able to refinance my house for more than I bought it for. Used that cash to get established.
@mmearthwurx359 probably low interest. When rates were low borrow as much as they will give you. Lol
Yeah it was under 3%. I only borrowed what I needed. My house still has plenty of equity left.
so you barrowed money ... a loan@@MORE_DIRT

As far as the most versatile thing you can get I’d say a mini with a swivel bucket and thumb. That and a skid steer can do pretty much anything
Awesome testimony brother. I am also trying to get into excavation. Any advice for someone with next to no experience in excavation? What would you invest into first equipment wise? I got a truck but that’s it so far.

Social media and word of mouth.
I’m already booking into April of 2024.
I took 6 weeks in winter to work on a flip house
you took a loan out on your house ??? you took a loan
I refinanced an existing loan with a lower interest rate. Aka a mortgage.
I didn’t acquire a new loan or a business loan to start my business.
thats still a loan tho...a home equity loan. but thats a crazy story.
