  • This isn't a paid promotion, just one of my fave artist medias that I've loved for over a decade. Noticeably unshared in the art journaling community, though it may be shared more in mainstream art circles I dunno, it's def more of a 'traditional' media than a current fad thing. And for those wondering I just found this video I made a couple months back (I wish my hair grew back that fast lol).
If you want the (sorta kinda) comprehensive list of my MOST used & loved Art Journaling/Artist Supplies you can find it here: www.amazon.com/shop/jennibell... (Commissions Earned). It's a fairly shortish list tbh because it isn't whacked full of everything but carefully selected items I use on repeat.

PS Before I get slammed because I said I don't generally do hauls or product reviews I'm NOT saying there's anything wrong with that - I check reviews on everything before I buy, they're useful and hauls are fun - I get the desire to share goodies that you're excited about, I'm just saying it's not what I want to do. When I absolutely love something have no problems sharing it, I'm just conscious not to share *all the things* just because (as per one of my very first video titles) creativity is not brought in a store. I'm just putting that out there coz jeez louise sometimes when I share such an opinion = inadvertently ruffled feathers - if I have accidentally offended please acknowledge the difference between slagging off anyone who's ever done a review (which I'm not) vs stating what is a personal preference for myself (which I am), thank you...and my apologizes to all Louises 😄💜 Also do you have a fave art supply?? Comment n let me know what it is 🌞

It is a shame you need to do this, It is so tiring having to think of all that extra stuff just to share creativity.
I remember these pastels from college, I had forgotten all about them.
hmm my favourite mediums are regular pencils I love sketching and watercolour. When I first tried watercolours I was terrible, I picked them up again after about 15 years and now I LOVE them. I recently tried Crayola crayons and they are lots of fun for rough sketches.
Acrylic is my favourite medium for general crafting it is so versatile. This is like thinking of favourite foods lol, you just think of more and more things haha.

I'm sitting cross legged on my bed, it 02.00 & I surrounded with paper, paint, glue & many other arty things!
I have health problems so do most of my art on my bed. The big problem is clearing it all away before going to sleep, it always takes me ages! Loved the video Jenni, I have some of the Conte Carre I haven't used them for a while so will get them out again. I love rediscovering things I haven't used in ages, it's almost like getting a free new product!

Hello Jenni, I have no problem with you or anyone sharing about supplies they use & love. That's usually how I decide if I want to try a certain media or not. But for me personally, I have to use the student grade supplies because of my lack of a budget, so to speak. I can't say I have a favorite supply simply because I haven't been able to find time to myself to play with what I have to see what I like and what I don't like. I do not have a space of my own to make creative messes, per se. I'm still trying to find a portable storage solution for my art supplies and such that I could easily grab & go somewhere else so that I could be by myself without interruptions. That's a really tall order for me. For everyone that has there own space and time to do what they want -- be very grateful. Always enjoy seeing you and hearing what you have to say. Take care young lady and God bless you. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
P.S. I still have not gotten to make my Inspiration Station. That's how little time I have for just me.

Conte crayons were my first art supply after charcoal! I love them! Cheers to you for giving them a shout out. I do believe they are one of the best most underappreciated art supplies available. I love using them for portraits. Excellent video JB

Yes, art supplies are like candy and I've certainly bought my fair share 😄 but I always seem to fall back on my favs - paints and watercolour crayons. I do have the pastels you shared with us and had forgotten how much I like them. Will definitely be giving them another run. 💕

I really appreciate your candor and honesty in all your videos. I'm never offended by anything you say. you are so right, there is a huge difference between expressing your opinion about a product you are giddy about and just mouthing words to get likes. I'm sorry artists have to feel that they must CYA everything they do. people in general should not be so thin skinned! you have a right to say how you feel. period. I luvs ya, Jennibellie! keep creating and keep living your best self!💖

I agree so sick of the company's coming out with the same products just slightly changed. It actually makes me stay away from that company. I don't typically watch UA-camrs showing off all their stuff that make us all want everything as well. (But can't afford it). I understand showing products that you stand by I get that totally. Thanks for showing us what you like and use.

Way to go Jenni! Especially now a days, we can't just go out and spend money like we use to. Well me anyway! I'm learning or trying to learn to use what I have. I mean even storage and or carry cases too. I'm very proud I made two handmade art journaling books with watercolor pages and mixed media pages so I can start breaking them in. Hahaha
Have a super fantastic day and let's get messy. Sending love and big hugs Sherry ✌️

I appreciate your caution about sharing specific supplies. You asked for our favorites--I discovered Art Glitter Glue in the last year. It is more liquid than tacky glues, dries very quickly and has the best precision point cap I've ever used (bought separately).

The one I have on every desk and in every bag is a pencil that’s blue on one end and red on the other. They jump into my hand and start sketching spontaneously!

Nice share, thank you. I think the reason this particular supply ( and many others) aren’t as popular in the mixed media world is that Conte’s products are known so very well as traditional “ fine art” products. There are so many awesome products that suffer this stigma - that “fine art” supplies don’t cross over to mixed media - bah humbug lol!

I have this type of pastels for miniature and customization purposes, but of course they could be used for art and journaling, too. Thank you for reminding me about their existence!

I have a lot of these carré pastels and I never use them! I have the French ones. But now I will, I always forget about them… I have some Japanese pastels which are in between soft and oil pastels, I’m crazy about them but I don’t know their name because it’s written in Japanese. I will have difficulties to buy them again… 🙁

I am with you on the supply, I want to buy it all, but can't. I buy what I can afford... if it work - great and not I put it away just in case I can use it for something else. My latest buy was oil pastels and they won't work the way I want so those are in the maybe later pile of supply😀

do you mean my art supplies list? It is (I think there are 4 sets on there) but they just aren't the same configurations - I have landscape, portrait, assorted etc but have had them for many years so what they sell now changes in packaging.

I think it's just name, email, what you like making most and then gender and location I believe you can leave blank or general (as in just give country) - even your name you can just give a first/nickname/handle but is it a community, not just an email list, so I need to protect everyone on there & make sure everyone is genuine (no spammers or profiteers etc).
