  • High School Drop Out? What Happens In Your Life
Dropping out of high school is a significant event that impacts people for along time. Not having your high school education completed does not mean you will not be successful. There are examples of people that live wonderful lives without finishing high school. However, for the vast majority of people not having a high school diploma will negatively hold them back psychologically and financially. If you don’t have your GED, HISET or TASC you should make this a priority and invest in yourself to pass - with the right teacher and material you can pass a lot faster than you think.
Need Help Getting Your GED, HISET or TASC? You can find my math courses here:

Exactly the schooling system does not take into account that many people especially teenagers struggle with mental health issues which makes it so difficult to want to do anything. Schools really only made for the people who are extroverted, mentally healthy, good support system at home, and people who can easily memorize stuff.

@Flexsor Same bro. This is my last year but just a few months ago I went to a crisis center because I was about to end it. Getting help doesn't really do anything and all they do is put you on meds and send you back in.
I'm doing better despite the suicidal shit. If I graduate this year then I'm on the path for success because I'm pretty smart and work a lot. I just hate the world and how the people around me are enough to throw it all away at times. I'm about to cut everyone from my life when I graduate and start a new life elsewhere.

It taught me I'm a failure and I don't matter, my grades do, but I don't for the most part 😂
I have always wished to fulfill my dreams and wanted to leave my mark on this Earth when I die, but now I feel horrible, stressed, my parents scold me whenever I get a bad grade, exams and tests are clustered together, day after day, I feel like I'm drowning in homework, I just want a break, I feel like I'm choking, I feel like a bird who isn't allowed to fly, but stay in a cage. I don't know why I still get up every morning, I thought about ending my life a lot. And the fact I have dyscalculia doesn't make things better, my parents seem to prefer and like my siblings more than me, middle school was horrible, teachers didn't like me and think I couldn't do anything and never gave me a chance to prove them wrong, my elementary school teacher hated me and tried everything to drag me down, my kindergarten teachers hated me and said I did things I didn't do so I would get scolded, I was in primary school and had to repeat it because the medication the doctors gave me because I had Elepsy made me not understand much of what was happening, I feel worthless and life barely showed me happy sides so far, luck is limited. My best isn't good enough. I still try to get my hopes up, that's why I'm here, I want to know if I still have a chance to live, if I deserve to have a life even if I fail high school. My parents made me believe I'm a disappointment and I don't want to be a burden to society because I failed, I don't want to let my broken dreams go, I still want to dream and aim high, I want to try, I want to live, regardless of how many people turn me down because I failed. I have always heard I can learn form mistakes, Let me learn from this, give me a second chance, notice I'm there too..
Sorry for randomly venting now- pretending things are okay isn't easy.

For those of you suffering through school, and it is JUST not for you. I will give you a blueprint for success, but it sucks and its even more hard work then school. Ready?
MOST PEOPLE will pay someone else to do a shitty job. The more shitty the job, the more they pay.
ALL PEOPLE need to do the following: Move. Clean. Paint. Shovel snow. Cut lawns. Landscape.
And all customers want 3 things: good response/communication, fast services, quality service., in order.
SO here is the blueprint: Step 1, save $3000. That means working a shit job than do it.
Step 2: get on the internet/facebook, and add everyone in your city and constantly advertise your snow shovelling or lawn or painting business or carpetting cleaning business (research how to do those properly on youtube). Wake up at 7 am, hammer the phones and internet until you go to bed. Do phone calls for 1 hour. Knock on doors for 1 hour. Drop off leaflets two hours...you get your gym time in that way too. (when knocking on doors make eye contact, be clean, be polite, say thank you and sorry to bother you).
Step 3: When you do get a call, rent the equipment with part of the $3000, DO THE JOB WELL, FAST, and get customer happiness. Write up your own review and ask them permission to use their name as a reference on that review. Add it to your new WIX website. Then leave leaflets all around their neighbourhood.
STEP 4: Save all the cash from that, only spend on food, rent and necessities. Your phone is now a business write off. So is your gas, taxis and buses. Save all receipts. Your costs for rentals and equipment is also a write off. Keep an excel spreadsheet of all material costs and all income. Only your net is taxable BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY TAX.
STEP 5: Repeat step 2 and 3 until you save $20, 000. Get a real website with real business cards and a real logo. Now advertise for help. Do 30 interviews to get 1 person who has a work ethic. DO NOT HIRE FRIENDS OR FAMILY. Now teach them how to do it and bring them on jobs to get the job done twice as quickly. Once they know how, send them to customers alone, but make sure they do quality, fast and customer happiness.
STEP 6: Continue until you have 3-4 staff. Now instead of renting equipment, buy some and learn to maintain it. Do this for a while until more money is saved.
STEP 7: Now start a NEW business that I listed above, and follow all the steps above. For moving, rent a van or trailer and hire 2 strong backs. For carpet cleaning, learn how and rent the equipment. A big field right now is health care. You can make $25 or MORE an hour as a sitter for a senior, learn how online.
STEP 8: Continue in the new business until it is as booming as the first. Make one of the 4 people you have in the first business a manager to quality control the other 3, give him/her a raise. Focus on the new business. Make sure of 3 things; quality of service, happiness of customer, and SPEED. Those 3 things will always get you more business.
STEP 9: Continue all steps until you can start a 3rd business. Continue until you have 4 business running with a manager for each. You can now just spend your time managing and overseeing these companies without doing them. Take a small piece of every pie to keep everyone happy. You should be making 100K or more NET!!
STEP 10: Look into bigger and better businesses. As your portfolio increases, so will your borrowing power and your ability to overcome bad times (business will get bad at times). Look into more challenging businesses or equipment (snow plows, snow cats, heavy machinery, etc.)
One you hit this level use your money to get into trades or branch out into trade businesses, including construction.
Really all you need are 2 things to achieve the above: determination and daily commitment.
Good luck, None of the above needs a high school degree. BUT IT DOES NEED MOTIVATION AND HARD WORK. Don't drink, dont do drugs, dont slack...they are all going to trap you.

I dropped out in December, the moment I was able too. I regret it, I really do. I feel like I have not only managed to fail myself but, everyone whom has been trying to keep me motivated. I don't know what to do, I wanted to be a writer, a craftswoman, someone who could actually comply to get something completed. But, it just never happened. I'm 17, and I'm turning 18 this year, I don't have a job, I don't have money, I don't have friends, and the only thing I have are my grandparents and I fear that I'll get kicked out of the house in a few months. I can't manage on my own because I was diagnosed with severe anxiety along with other panic disorders. I know I'm not alone, there are people like me out in the world, I just can't ever find them. I was hoping that one day I could move with my boyfriend, have a kid, and be happy for once, be in the slightest bit successful. Clearly, it's not working out. I'll never be financially stable, I've been job hunting for these past few months with no word from any of the employers. I feel like I should give up, like I do with everything else. I keep slumping into depressive episodes and I feel useless, my boyfriend should find person more capable than me, he deserves better. I do nothing for the world, much like the world has nothing to offer me. I throw away my chances, and even when I try I have never been able to succeed.
It's getting to the point where I want to quit, leave the world behind and wish everyone the best, because I know even the people who are in this comment section, those who have watched this video, the ones who have already dropped out or are currently considering it, can do better than me. Because I have faith in them, while I have none in myself anymore.
I've failed every grade I've ever been in, K-12. I have a learning disability and for my younger years I hadn't been able to read, write, or do basic mathematics and, even now I struggle with it.
My main problem with the educational system in America, is that they tend to lean towards a specific group of people, and they try to teach every individual child the same way. When in reality, that tactic is bound to fail. It'll leave people questioning and confused, while others are more keen to understand.
These students who get left behind are treated as failures, kids who don't care. When in reality a majority of these students just don't understand, leaning them towards the option to stop trying. This is something schools need to work on, not only schools in America, but, schools in general.

Looking for an answer, or maybe comfort? I’m 16 and I just recently got out of a toxic household and I thought as soon I got out everything would blossom and be so much better. It hasn’t, I’m turning into something that I never thought I would and it’s not good. I adulted really fast in the past year and feel like I could get on with my life right now. It’s really hard to go to school everyday and keep up with all the work and then go to my job. I often don’t go or skip classes to have breakdowns in the bathroom. Yes, I feel like a complete looser because I can’t get my sh*t together. I feel like if I dropped out, I could just focus on me, getting better, and practice things that mean a lot to me and that I want to use for a career (running/art/photography). I feel like people I’m close with will be disappointed but they never asked how I was r e a l l y doing. Deep down I feel like life will go on whatever decision I make, because life is what you make of it, right? Still the guilt of being a looser who can’t persevere through a little basic schooling hurts.

Adrienne Chamberlain You are not a loser, nobody's a loser and don't do anything that would make people that are close to you sad like I know how it feels to just be sad like that and not talk to anyone about it like I was like that for a year but when I talked to my close friend, I got out of the depression and I'm currently doing very well in school so If I was able to get out of my depression, than you can too all you have to do is talk to the ones that are close to you like I know how it feels like to think they'll be disappointed but that feeling of them being disappointed is nothing but a lie so just talk to your close ones to get out of the depression, I promise that I'm confident that your close ones will help you if you just let them know your situation

    • @fellowpassenger_54-67
      @fellowpassenger_54-67 4 роки тому

I also know others like you that got out of depression by talking to the people that are close to them like how do you expect someone to help you if you don't let them know like if you want help than you have to let your close ones know than they'll be able to do so, this depression is something lots of people have broke through and got an amazing life out of it so if you truly want to have a good life than break through the depression by letting the people that are close to you know about your situation than I promise your life will start to improve from the point you let your close friends know your situation

I don’t know if you still need some advice but here just in case. Get your GED or some equivalency to a highschool diploma through an education program. If you don’t feel like going to college either because of financial problems, then go to community college. It’s much cheaper and then transfer or don’t transfer and just get your associates while working. If you don’t want to go to college at all then go to a trade school (they’re amazing by the way. Some pay you while you’re earning skills and education) or apply to degree/certificate programs in your interest. Dropping out of highschool or college don’t mean you’re a failure. Success is what you make of it. You got this 😌👍🏼

I'm a senior, and since covid hit I've been unable to complete school work. If I want to graduate, I have to pass the nine classes that I've failed this year and last, along with the four I've been assigned to this trimester. How can I even begin to do this when I lack the motivation to even get out of bed in the morning? I hate everything right now and I wanna just leave everything behind and live on the road by myself.

I personally don't want to but I don't think I can take more lectures from my teachers about how it's almost impossible for me to get my grades/ credits up, my parents say it might be worth it because my older brother did the same and is pretty successful in life, I just need another view of this

The thing is, I have depression and anxiety from school, and I have phobias of it.
When I'm in school and in lesson, I end up nearly falling asleep, and never concentrate, I dont even know timetables, but I learnt them at home by myself.
And even online school, I haven't been going to lessons, my mum doesnt know, but I feel worried she will be in trouble.

I have reasons to drop out
One, I don't get along with most of the students and there's no empathy between us, Also the few friends I have ignore me every time we have a conversation and I feel like an outcast in high school
Two, I have low-self esteem I've tried to work on it but every time I go to school is like they blow my esteem and makes feel bad
I'm not smart/intelligent, Since 9th grade I've been going downhill
Three, I don't wanna be a judge by my grades, If you don't pass a class and are held back, Basically they're telling you that you are a failure but of course they don't tell you
I've also been through depression, anxiety, stress and social anxiety since 9th grade, I'm done with it
I'll just tell my family about this and I know they won't agree with that but i don't care i wanna start again in my life and break free from the same cycle I live every day

6 years ago my mom, brother and me moved into a new apartment whenever I was about to start 6th grade. I was a little nervous as anyone would be. Starting a new grade in a different district where I didn't know anyone was kinda nerve wracking to say the least. At first things seemed to be fine until I really noticed just how lonely I was. Everyone around me seemed to be all acquainted from grade school and already had their established friend groups while I was just on my own little island. Because of this I leaned a lot on my academics and would study more. It was the only sense of acknowledgement I felt helping out other classmates from time to time, even carrying entire group projects and getting nice compliments from my teachers. Unfortunately where my old middle school was is pretty close to a ghetto part of town I lived right outside of, so some of the kids there weren't brought up in nesscarily the best way. This resulted in some rude comments since puberty and abit of acene on my head hit me the hardest. Then a girl whose twin brother I'd help out a lot in my science class randomly came up to me while I was unlocking my locker with a key since I didn't have a code combination lock. And yanked my keychain with my neck still inside of it and told her to stop, she mocked me and managed to slip it off my neck and ran down the hallway in front of everyone and I chased her until we we're in an entirely different corridor before she finally threw my keychain with my keys and ID card on the ground. Another thing I remember was this one tomboy who came up to my table in Art who wasn't supposed to be sitting with the rest of my group and I remember at one point telling her and everyone else when I got older I wanted to become a game dev and was trying to learn a scripting language I ended up forgetting about. And she was quick to trash on me for wanting to do that and called into question if I was even smart enough which hurt abit and continued to say other rude things. Then there was a regular at my table who was also abit of an ass, but I got along better with him and even called him a friend at one point but he laughed it off and said we weren't which catched me off guard. I could go on with a few more stories like finding my binder drenched in a puddle after lunch. Which honestly looking back on it is very cheesy and idk who took the time out of their day to do that but it was my P.E teacher out of all people who helped me find it. The bullying wasn't as frequent as one could imagine. Most of this stuff had a few weeks or months in between them. But from my perspective it was either just regular old boring school or that. I didn't really realize this at the time, but because of all these things that we're happening to me I started devolping anxiety and was very likely the main reason I never felt that encouraged to try and make new friends after that. So I would just spend most of my time during lunch on the grassfield sitting next to tree in the back. Either just on my phone or looking at the highway the school overlooked and sometimes wondering while looking up at the sky what my old friends from grade school we're doing since we didn't keep in touch cause I only got a smart phone the summer after 5th grade for my bday.
And that's it pretty much went for the whole year.

    • @jbroz_tv0138
      @jbroz_tv0138 Рік тому

I never told my mom about anything then cause she was dealing with her own problems and stress. After she broke up with our 'step father' who wasn't the best kinda guy you could imagine. Before we moved. And even after we did they got back together and would still fight pretty often. I didn't wanna be burden and put more stress on her so I kept my feelings hidden and would come home feeling very defeated sometimes, I would try to act like nothing was wrong though whenever I picked my brother up from the elementary school down the road from our place but after that I was either doing homework, sleeping or playing video games cause I slacked quite abit on chores which definitely wasn't helping my mom out and is something I regret even now. I was also just confused with myself and even felt ashamed to be depressed in fear of what others might say or think of me, I had been through quite abit of hardship already in the past but this all felt new to me.
Moving onto seventh. Things were much lighter. I became good friends with one of my classmates I knew from last year and also met his best friend which I also get along with very well. And it was a overall good time but I still was pretty anxiety ridden and didn't really hang out with anyone else besides the two. But during the year the friend I mentioned I knew from last year had moved away cause I think his dad passed away and then during the summer I was talking to my other friend in a Playstation party and he was in the middle of talking to me when his mom came into the room and yelled at him for something I don't remember and he said he was busy and in the middle of a conversation with me but she wasn't having it I guess and grounded him. I also remember her saying she made up her mind that she was signing my friend up to this charter school, and not long after the party ended. We stood in touch still after that and our other friend would still talk to us as well since he went over 'friend 2's' house. But starting 8th grade there wasn't to much time for chit cattering. Another classmate who knew me and my friends starting talking to me more cause I'm pretty sure he knew I was lonely and I thank him deeply for trying to help me. And introduced me to his friend group which ended up jacking my spot where I used to sit back in 6th and sometimes 7th during lunch. And they we're all pretty chill, I was mainly talking to my classmate I knew or new friend by this point, cause the others really never payed me to much attention which I was fine with since I was still suffering pretty badly with anxiety. It just felt refreshing and a little comforting being in a decent size group. Also my brother started middle school and my cousin's cousins we're also there that year which was kinda cool I guess though I didn't see them around that often. As for my friend that got enrolled in the charter school, he was doing pretty fine even though we weren't talking as much. I later found out during freshman year of high school from a classmate who transferred back to public school that my friend was almost thriving in his new environment and fitted in better over there and started a discord with like half the school in it which I was happy to hear about him, it made abit of sense too since later on in 8th grade we'd almost stopped talking entirely for abit. But getting back to highschool at this point it was 2019 and things were going pretty smoothly. My friend from last year in 8th we're hanging out and going to see dollar movies with on other friend too and I really felt like I was starting to warm up to people again both outside and in school and was slowly coming out of my shell. Mental health was looking up and grades we're good. But before you knew it we we're in 2020. And I don't think I have to explain what happened that year...
At first it was just a little polarizing since we didn't really have to go to school anymore post March or even sign into online classes since it was just gonna be repeats of the same lessons we'd already learned throughout the year and everyone just got a pass on their second semester report card. So we we're stuck inside indefinitely. And I was just playing video games as usual since I really haven't been an outdoorsy person since before I was in middle school. And to be honest those first few months of the pandemic we're actually kinda fun for me since I was just playing on my ps4 with my cousin and his others ones since my friend I mainly hanged out with just played on Switch at the time and the other one that was at the charter school was pretty much Pc gaming only at that point plus pretty busy with his new buds and I didn't have a Pc so yeah.

But eventually the start of the next school year started and I don't think anyone really knew what to expect. I started feeling a little nerve wrecked again just like how I felt whenever I started 6th grade back then. And I tried my best keeping up with barrage of assignments teachers would give us. I don't really blame them though because I don't know what I would've done if I we're in their shoes. Like we we're in small class calls for a few minutes from 7-12pm. For EVERY class so you could imagine the calls weren't to long,
then off to the work it was. I was even recommended for AVID which I happily accepted and made one of my elective courses since I had always been a consistent honor student ever since
the first semester of middle school. But the amount of work each class was assigning was demanding in such short time. I swear all the classes would give us lengthy assignments each and would expect us to have it completely finished the next day over and over. Gone were the days where you'd have two or maybe three days to complete an important assignment, or something even longer like a week. The only time they gave us small packet sized work was like the first two weeks of school. After that everything felt haywire and I found myself staying up till midnight on my chrome desktop cause you'd have barely anytime in the day to have a little time to yourself if you we're breezing through the onslaught of work on your plate. Like don't get wrong I like gluing my eyes on screens and all but even so school just didn't work well in this format for me. I envied my younger brother's classes who was still in middle school at the time. And seeing his teachers actually go through the lessons with them. It seemed a lot less stressful than the input my teachers gave me and my classmates in a 30 minute call. Then they send us off to the academic beaches of Normandy. That old feeling of anxiety was starting to trigger back inside me and had seriously doubted if I could keep up with this work or not. And then I had family issues going on with my 'step dad' again and later he left and took my brother's with him. I didn't mention over the course of middle school I had gotten two new little brothers that me and family love a lot. But my mom was the most hesrt broken over this cause she without doubt took care of them more than our Step dad did, hell even I watched them better. But while that was going on I had pretty much already quitted the school year around October because I just couldn't take it anymore. And I just layed down and did a whole lot of nothing for literally the rest of the year in misery. If you were to tell me that just a year prior I would've thought that as completely absurd but there I was just completely dead inside and disappointed in myself and didn't even bother asking for help. I joined a IEP meeting with some of my teachers there and I flat out told them how I felt but even so that it was no good excuse to completely slack. They recommended me the school counselor and I'm pretty they called once but I slept in and was to afraid to call back someone who was just trying to see what was wrong with me and help. I now found myself rejecting help and lying to one of my friends about where I've been and my schedule was just switched on the zoom calls.

For people who don’t like the school system there is another way
Instead of learning a lot about a little e.g getting a degree in vetinery science
You can learn a little about a lot
Like understanding the basics of everything you could make money off
I’m talking about 2 possible things
Business - own a business but you’ll be working wayyyyy more harder, mundane task that any school has aswell as go through all the tough learning but you get to be your own independent boss. But you litterally need to start RIGHT NOW
    Second, is he an investor
All you need is about $500
Learn everything you can about graphs and markets
    E.g
    Graph indicators
    Types of graphs
    Crypto market
    Stock market
    Different charts
    Real estate
    Chart patterns
Accounting (learning doesn’t mean degree but going for a degree will teach you it)
    Law
    Etc
The positive is the only hard part is learning, all your income is passive and you have the most mobility to minimize tax

@@idontmakevideossubscribe1503You're mixing up your messages so much there, it makes me think your late teens philosophy might work to get a few bras off, but is overall pretty pathetic. You're right, to practice true philosophy you need to be well learned on all philosophical works (but you don't need a degree to do that man!) You're right, you need the discipline to read through them all on a regular schedule. (Ya but I can learn that on my own man!) Ya but you don't. You couldn't even handle high schools schedule. The truth is that people drop out and don't pursue shit...they don't pursue philosophy, music or literature, and if they do they waste so much time on the wrong shit that they end up on youtube saying "you don't need a degree to make money". Well you do dipshit. I pointed out the stats. The stats don't lie. And people who drop out of high school arent BUSINESS GENIUSES...they're usually poorly motivated, FOR WHATEVER REASON, but the next time, play a little game...ask every person down and out that you see on the street if they have a high school diploma. Then research all your heroes and see if they have a degree. Happy hunting twat.
