Thanks, Amanda, for your tutorials. I’ve been subscribed to your channel for a while now and seldom leave a comment-but always a thumbs-up! I appreciate the work you put into these videos. You are always direct, clear and easy to understand without a lot of unrelated commentary, and for a learner that means I can concentrate on the subject at hand. I hope you continue on into the future with the same goals as I will be here watching.

Love the look of the waffle stitch!! I was wondering if you used the whole skein for an 8x8 square? I have an 80 yd cotton skein and I was wondering if that would be enough!!

It is a fun stitch! I don’t remember how much yarn I had leftover, but it’s possible you have enough. You could always make this a little smaller if you don’t think you have enough yarn.

I know this is a few months old but if anyone else was wondering about it I ended up needing two 80 yard skeins for a hot pad the same size as she makes in the video, but I needed less than half of the second skein.

Thank you for this lovely tutorial Amanda. I’d just like to clarify as I’m making these as a gift - are these hot pads and all your other hot pad tutorials for taking trays out of the oven? Or for creating a barrier between the hot pot and table? Thank you :)

You’re welcome! The hot pads I make are typically used for resting hot pots on, so they don’t ruin countertops.
