Ive just purchase a PT01. I hasnt arrived yet si of course havent had a play around yet.
& i know i can of course scratch & sample any 7" records.
But can i possibly sample 12"s
My oarebt have loads of okd records in the attic all sorts of intersting shizzle.
From old 1920s theough 50s jazz records ( that im dying to search through) into 40s n 50 blues stuff? Acoustic and electric, folky sorta stuff. All the way to peter green, hendrix, and god kniws what else there. I even found an original godfather soundtrack (had to have it framed and put ob the wall lol.
But yeah, this is probably N00b as fuck for asking, if im to play a 12" on the PT01. NO Manipulation or anythibg, just play the records as is, perhaps replay areas i can hear i coukd work with. Theres no reason Why icoukdnt do this is there?
& also, if its a high enough quality audio recording then i can finally transfer all of my 1000s of 12" records bought over the years, (mainly liquid DnB. Few Dark/Rollers. A fair amount of decent Nu skool Breakbeat. A little bit of deep or tecj house, gew gens but maibly shit. & a loud of some wicked Techno tumes! A lot of which were.never released.on digital!!!! So that is sick.)
But yeah. Off on ramble there, back to original question. Can i sample the old 12" jazz n stuff from the aytic? As i know theres guna be so mucj to play witj. But never seen a PT01 have a 12" on it. So if anyone has done or know that this is possibly id be really greatful for any info, advice from personal experience, tips n tricks eyc.
Lets get some oldn20s jazz sounds back out therenin yhe ears of yhe kid these days who clezrly nees some 'real' noise......
