The respect between Gatti and Ward is the greatest love story in boxing. Both men so bull headed that they both insisted on a rematch to the most demanding fight of their lives.

Two things about this fight that make me cry ...the fight itself...how these two men left it all in the ring with great respect for one another. Two I was in the Navy known as the boxing guy...these two guys were big names but I knew this was going to be a great fight and to have everyone call me on my phone saying (DUDE...this fight is CRAZY) was pretty cool. I cry watching this cause every good fight I use to watch I would always call my dad to make sure he is watching the fight...I lost my dad 4 years ago and as I watch this I remember him calling me ....Mijo this is a damn good fight !!! Ron Poirier same with with me. Me and my crew watched all 3 of them live. Boxing was unreal in the 90's-early 2000's never missed a PPV boxing hit a huge wall mid 2000's and it's even weaker today. I still tune Into big fights but no longer watch boxing like I used to. Sad times for the Sweet Science. I can't wait to watch Connor get schooled in something he knows very little about compared to a man that's perfected the game like him or his style or not. Mayweather is undefeated for a reason haters can hate all they want that's because they can't hang with a man of that skill. A wise man once said "your eyes can't hit what your can't see"

randolph patterson I started losing hope as I watched Gatti counter Mickie’s punches, set him up, really use all his skills. But Ward is like a slow wave, he keeps on coming till you’re too tired to keep going and give up, though Gatti didn’t l, what fighters. Not even upset about the result if they fought 3 times.

The best fight i have ever seen, hands down, no question! Like it was written for a box office smash or a Rocky movie or something. Iv seen it dozens of times and i still get chocked up and misty eyed watching it. And those body shots, those SOB's take 15 mins or so to recover from and those dudes got up by the 8 count, are u kidding me! Idk how they did it! And then they become the best of friends until Arturo Gatti died. Every fight from that point on, they were side by side. Amazing story.
