Thanks Eric! This was very helpful. My son, Brendan is an incoming CCPA student. Since the virtual campus tour didn’t have access to the dorms, we were directed to your video. Again, thanks!
Just a little 2022 update from a former RA. All rooms (other than the singles of course) will only house 2 people. No more triples and quads! This decision was made because most roommate conflicts come from those over-populated room formats!
Thanks Eric, very helpful!! My daughter is an incoming freshman BFA MT student. Have another question not related to dorms. Want to buy a computer as a gift and wondering if you have advice for best option for MT student. I was considering the new iPad Pro with magic keyboard Or the MacBook Air. If have any insight would appreciate it. Thanks!!
Hi Irene, Eric here. I personally use the iPad Pro/Magic Keyboard combo, and I love it. With the past year being so zoom/computer oriented, I found it lacking behind just a bit. But with everything going back to normal in the coming year, and not needing to use most/any of the computer programs we had to this past year, I have full confidence that it’ll perform how I need it to. I also opted for the iPad since I also use it for personal hobbies like drawing, and to take handwritten notes. The MacBook Air is of course another great option that I know a lot of my classmates use, at a slightly higher price. If your daughter doesn’t have any specific preferences for the iPad (like wanting to draw/take handwritten notes), then I’d probably say go for the MacBook Air, but again both work great and it’s a matter of price at that point.
I haven’t heard of anyone falling off… yet😳 you could play it safe if you move around a lot in your sleep and ask your roommate for the bottom bunk, but I think if your bunk has the railing (some don’t, which is the real issue) then you’ll be just fine.
There is! I haven’t gotten to spend much time in it myself since it was closed for most of last year, but it’s available for all residents to use without any extra charge. From what I remember it has plenty of machines and free weights. There’s also lots of other gyms nearby if it’s not quite what you’re looking for.

Is there a gym at the wabash building?
