Ours was the same, but we found out that there were 2 grease fittings in the middle we didn't know about had to loosen the bolts and take center cover off to grease them them
Ours works good with 4×4bales but we use a bale grapper on skid loader or tractor and stack them 2 or 3 high with circle facing up and down not on side and stacks them good

How many layer did you put on bale and did you change the sprockets?
22 wraps gives 2 layers for me. Sorry I just saw this today.
Could you wrap a 5x5 with it? I know they say 4x5 but i see some wiggle room
I think you can but I’m not 100% positive. I think you put the rollers in the outer holes. www.br-equipment.com
