Grew up in the same area around the same time. Saw sight everywhere, always wondered what happened to him.
    Very well spoken dude.

It’s scary. Why we locking people up for so long over stupid af reasons. Sadly this guy is black and that tends to not help with not being fucked over by the law.. all this makes me so mad.

I had to quit writing once they made it a felony in NY, I already got caught twice and it wasn't worth it to me, doing prison time for writing. I still make art and draw of course, I just keep it legal for the most part

Ftw!!.. I got 9 felonies for graffiti soon after my 18th birthday.. I’m 42 now and I continue to do graffiti to this day.. not like I useto tho. So shxtty that this dude had to do so much time. Drawing on things shouldn’t get you locked in a cage for that long. Our society is fxcked.

Good podcast, I disagree with a couple of his viewpoints but that's completely normal. I don't think the art world is racist at all, in fact I see more black artists celebrated now more than ever, in fact being a blonde haired white dude like me, I feel like I'm too "normal" to get noticed or accepted these days. Being black is an advantage in the art world imo

What l don't get is why is graff such a threat to them!? Most graff is just a name. What is the big deal? I think that for all their talk about this being a free country they (sorry l know it's a vague way of putting this) actually can't stand seeing true freedom. Graff just shows them how hypocritical they are and they hate it.
