Great video! I think, for those who like a "spendy" Christmas, start saving now even if it is just £50 per month and that will really help when the time comes. Also, if you have children, I would say to really be open and involve them when it comes to finances. When we were growing up, my dad had his own business and obviously that brought good times financially and bad times financially. Our parents involved us fully in all the decisions - saving in the good times, cut backs in the bad times etc. This has meant that I have always been "savvy" when it comes to my money as I know there can be the bad times! I really can't thank them enough for this education (which I didn't even realise I was getting!).
In January, 2023 I decided to work on my debt and I did good but I’m hoping to do even better this year.

I’ve just paid my tax bill and more to pay in July! I’m good in the week as so busy,but then come Saturday I like to go to charity shops and have coffee,snacks and drinks!
Well done for paying your tax bill! There’s always such a balance between the two things! You also need to enjoy life, as well as save ❤️

Hi Lara. Thanks for the video! My goals for this year are too get my health back on track (been going through painful issues with right hip since last july. Hopefully once I have some more scans done i'll get a diagnosis and have some more physio i'll be back on track). Sadly the company I work for went bust on 28th december and only gave us 1 days notice that our jobs were going! 😢 is disgusting how we've been treated.
Other goals this year is once I'm signed off as fit to work I want to get back into work so I can continue to save for my wedding which is in May 2025.

This year i want to pay the last 5k of debt 😊
Our financial goals is taking a two week trip to Europe, increase our Roth retirement contributions and save our next big trip.
Sounds good. Europe is quite cheap when you get here depending on where you go. Think the flight will be the big cost item for the trip.
My goals for 2024 pay off more debt (I cleared 5K in 2023) then my other goal is to save for my trip to Florida.
