    Saving typically results in you earning a lower return but with virtually no risk. In contrast, investing allows you the opportunity to earn a higher return, but you take on the risk of loss in order to do so.

      I’m trying to get onto the investing ladder at 40. I wish at 55 I will be testifying to huge success!.,

      I've come to realize that the key to amassing wealth lies in making sound investments. I purchased my first home at the age of 21 for $87,000 and sold it for $197,000. My second home, acquired for $170,000, was later sold for $320,000, and my third property, purchased at $300,000, fetched $589,000, with buyers covering all closing costs and expenses. Not reaching a million before retirement feels like an unfulfilled goal|.

      Whichever firm you select, make sure you get your insurance from a reputable financial adviser, such as *Jenny Pamogas Canaya,* who has dedicated her career to financial planning. Because they will assist you in escalating, navigating better, and completing the task in a safer manner.||

    Soak you scrap paper in water. Whizz up in the blender. Add wild flower seeds. Roll out and blot out excess water. Once dry , cut out gift tags 🌹🌸🌺🌷🌻🌼

    I have seriously cut back on trips to B&m, home bargains etc and I am spending far less money. Even if I only go in these shops for some cleaning/ food items, I end up buying stuff I don't really want or need. I have started choosing more frugal and eco friendly options for my cleaning products. Bicarb and vinegar have so many uses and are so cheap as well as being better for the environment. I have a huge bottle of doctor brokers soap which only uses a teaspoon of liquid diluted to mop my floors. The only cleaning products I tend to buy now are my washing liquid for my clothes (I no longer use fabric softener or scent beads) and toilet bowl cleaner. I am saving ££££ every month by cutting back on these things.

    Instead of buying cling film I've been using the plastic bags that cereals come in .just give them a wash cut them down to make two pieces then you can cover food with them .I use elastic bands that come with broccoli or spring onions. X

    Most jar candles are leaving 25%+ of the wax unmelted. I've been saving these remnants for years. Bought a pack of wicks for cheap. Melt down the remnants and make new candles.

      I too do this I keep all the bits in a tub until I have an empty jar that had a candle in. If I really like the colour of the candle I just put a wick in the middle and pour the melted wax around it. If not I melt all the wax and make a whole new candle. You can recycle the wax again and again.

      Related to this comment- what was it that you suggested to use old candle jars for? I only heard pimple. Lol. I listened again and couldn’t figure out the word. I’m in america so I’m sure it’s a lost in translation issue.

    Some great tips! I would say a couple of things - it's a good idea to write down everything you buy for a week and you will see where you are spending (a month would be more accurate but a chore!) - you will see that the odd coffee/magazine etc adds up. Secondly, I would say a really good way to save is to meal plan - do a stock take of what you already have in your cupboards/freezer/fridge and create your weekly meal plan around it - there are lots of videos on youtube with ideas. Shopping around is good but you do need to consider the value of your time too! Finally, I would say that people should be aware that, although cashback sites are useful, they are tracking everything you spend and creating a profile of you - not necessarily a bad thing but something to be aware of if that kind of thing makes you nervous.

    • @cherylT321
      @cherylT321 Рік тому

      That’s exactly why I don’t want to bother with cash back apps because I know we’re being tracked every which way…I refuse to help them track me even for a few extra dollars!

    A frugal living hack - use less toilet paper! Sometimes I catch myself rolling it round my hand when I only need to use two sheets for a wee 😅 If you use less you'll need to buy it less often lol x

    I found subscription to the tv was getting a bit out of hand, so I swapped to getting dvd and series from charity shops and car-boots, to rent a film on some of these they are £3.50 but at a charity shop these days I’ve got 5 dvds for £1, and there are still modern ones out there you just have to keep looking, I had one charity shop give away for free a bin bag full of dvds that kept me and my husband occupied for a solid month on movies we hadn’t seen and watch and then we sold them on to cex after. ❤ I was surprised how much I didn’t miss my subscription and if there was something on there I was dying to watch I would go around a friends house and make it a social thing as they know I don’t have any tv subscriptions. Saved a fair bit of money over time.

    How do you save money on grocery when you are on a dairy free, gluten free diet? My daughter has just been diagnosed with celiac disease and dairy allergy. I find these products are so much more expensive.

    • @gillmills3197
      @gillmills3197 Рік тому +3

      As a celiac myself the best advice is to cook from scratch. There are loads of naturally free foods she'll be able to eat, don't just rely on the free from section.
