- welcome to detecting talk with unearthed UK, this is the first field test on the unearthed test bed with the coiltek minelab equinox 10x5 & 15" search coils, stay with this rather long film as I think you will all enjoy the performance of these brand new coils, both completely different in their chosen fields but both equally as lethal, please feel free to leave a comment or two as they are always appreciated, and remember new batch of these coils will be in stock soon at unearthed uk!
Love it ive got the 10x5 and the 15" coiltek and i am just waiting to get the 14x9 the little 10x5 is fantastic coil at picking out the targets amongst the iron and so stable such a fantastic little coil and it misses nothing at all . my everyday go to is the 15" such a beast of a coil. but that little coil is in a league of its own.
The 10x5 is our best seller here at unearthed!
cheers for the video Grahame looks good cant wait to get my hands on the 15 inch coil and get out on some fields and see what i have missed
You will enjoy it mate
did you alter the recovery speed for the 15 inch coil ? Do you recommend any settings for the 15 inch coil after 3 years of using it
I don't use it anymore
I tried the 15" out yesterday I had to use a sling after an hour and a half as I felt the difference. Also it was very chatty I had to run the sensitivity at 20 on pasture that with the 11" I ran sensitivity at 24 without issue, but saying that running it at 20 still hit deep targets and picks up more targets. I was on a small field I've done to death for about 3 years and it found silver I'm really happy with it.🙂👍
By lowering the sensitivity shows just how better these coils are, they run hotter than the standard so lowering the sens will be normal procedure, it will get better and better!
@@unearthed-detecting-tv I was thinking that because the performance was brilliant, can't wait to give it a full day's outing 👍
Excellent video, haven't had a chance to try mine on the land yet. But on the beach it's amazing.
Keep it up mate, you will do well with it sir
Using mine on the beach tonight! Super low tide!
Thank you much for the video! This is exactly what I’ve been looking to see. I preordered a 10x5 a couple weeks ago and was hoping I made a good decision. By the looks of your video I don’t really need to have a worry. Good separation and depth capabilities are right where they should be where I detect. 5-10” deep coins seem to hit really solid.
Thanks for watching
very decent looking these coil techs for the nox. great vlog as always grahame
Thanks for watching sir
How would you compare the weight and balance of the 15" coiltek to the 15" original equinox coil?
Similar in weight, the coiltek has the edge on depth, no doubt about it
Love my 10x5 i dont even chage it for the standard 11 inch on the beach.
Me too dan
Great video 👍 I brought the 14x9” & used first time Saturday, was so impressed I came home & ordered the 10x5 for my Roman field
14x9 its as heavy as a tank, how did you find it, i caint and wont swing it the 11 inch stock coil is nose heavy, dont wont to revert back to explore thats the Idea of the nox why make it top heavy, got a coiltek on my ctx does not do any better, not used it since i got the nox find more lot more comfortable to swing
Yes lots of our customers here at unearthed have bought them both
Hi Graeme , looks like an impressive piece of kit mate and as you say should be good on the pasture , hope Mel is doing ok and you both take care ATB Rob .
Thanks robbie, will be in touch soon
Any chance to do a comparison with the ML 6" coil?
Plenty of info coming soon
Very interesting video Graeme. Love the field test and hearing the sounds of the coils.
Thank you for watching mate
Great video Graeme, i was in two minds to buy the 6” or the new coiltek 10 x5 . Having just watched this you have made my mind up 10 x 5 it is. Just got to get one ordered.
We have some coming next week sir
Hello friend question, what’s the difference in depth between the 11” and the 10x5?
The standard 11 has the edge on depth but the 10x5 has a lot better separation qualities
Hallo very good video can you tell me please in which version are you raning the equinox
Equinox 800 sir latest software
Thanks
Great vid graeme love the 10x5 will be purchasing that soon, a good tip that iv learnt with the nox when you get a 1 way signal look to see if it's landing the same number everytime, if it does then allways dig it its usually allways non ferrous when it lands on the same number on them one way signals
You will love this coil mate
Great vid, I searched for this only 3 hours ago. Did you try the minelab official 15” coil on an 800 over the hoard ? Am wondering if I should invest in these new coils. Thanks
Yes we have used both the standard and the 15 coils in the past, the coiltek has the edge for sure
That’s great, thanks for replying
That is absolutely awesome 👌 that hord was well deep with a big bit of iron over the top superb👍👍👍
Next level stuff for the nox mate
@@unearthed-detecting-tv absolutely 💯
can you put some pics up of the sheep? haha only kidding buddy, good video, I will be looking at the 15'' coiltek for my 600.
You will love it (not the sheep!)
I' ve been consider that 10x5 Coiltek coil, i think it might be the good one for the forests. Some times that original coil feels too big and clumsy.
Great video Graeme Considering only on sensitivity of 18 that was really impressive, very stable
Thanks for watching colin
Question everybody. What’s the best size coil for under water or on wet beach .??
The 14x9 is a great beach Coil
Cheers Grahame nice to see them both hitting the same targets. Can't wait to see a head-to-head between the Minelab EQ15 and the Coiltek Nox 15. I promised myself a big coil last year... But. Which one to buy? Which one to buy?
Thanks for watching mike
Gotta be the Coiltek 15” in my opinion 😁🏴
fantastic, been waiting for this
Enjoy watching it, they are formidable
We're you using standard or customised field one, and are the coiltek coils for sale yet or still on pre order?
Hi Mike, we are getting another batch in next week, however not quite sure just how many will arrive just yet
Great video Sir! For your opinion it's better the 10x5 or the minelab 11?
All depends on what sort of detecting you will be doing?
Saludos desde panamá
Podría saber el costo de esa bobina grande para equinox 800
Gracias
Enjoyed watching this! I have a 14x9 on preorder with you so I can't wait to see your thoughts on the 14x9. The 15" is mighty tempting :-)
Thanks for watching Gary
If I wasn’t excited about getting the 15” round before your video then I am now. I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve lol. Another great and informative video Graeme 😁🏴
You will love it
Big question is how does the 15" Coiltek compare to the 15" Minelab on these targets with the same settings 🤔
These coils are deeper and better built, cant ask for anymore than that
Is the 10.5 good on gold. Also the 15
It is!
We still don’t have them in US as of March 24
I would much rather of waited until everyone had them
be interested to see a test depth done on the minelab 15inch and this.before handing me cash over
Thanks for watching stay tuned
Great test review , had my first outing with the 15" on Sunday , the 800 performed great very impressed , i thought even or maybe a little light in weight compared to the elliptical , still like to swing the CTX with the big coil so all day out and not really noticing any difference in swing or weight ,picked up a Lizzy half groat at 6" no problem and nice and loud look forward to trying the 10x 5
Thank you for watching Andy, we have a small number of the 10x5 left still
@@unearthed-detecting-tv what are you asking including post
Great vid Graeme 👍🏼
Think I may have to get me one of those 15” coils, I’ve a lot of pasture to cover.
Many thanks for watching my friend
Great test I'm most impressed good information did you post your settings in the video ?
Yes mate its on there
Those coils are impressive. That 15 will certainly suit a lot of my perms will give u a call when the next batch are in. ATB Paul
Thanks for watching sir
Great test really like the look of them coils . Am a member of simplex owners group but been thinkin about get a nox 600 do you do finance?
Yes just give the office a bell sir
Hi great review but like you i wont be getting the big 15 inch coil or the 14x9, the 10x5, looks the best option for me, dont care for the big coils, i have used quite a few coiltek coils on other minlabe machines but find the performance equal to the stock coils, i really rate, the stock minelab 11 inch coil but the six inch is to small, vanquish coils are excellent i wish they did them for the nox been out today with the coiltek 10x5 it did very well it was used by a freind of mine bought from you, i used the 11 inch stock coil got a cut quarter, handy little coil for between the maze storks, undisided, but probly get one, cheers
Many thanks for watching sir
Well done old man very well put across. Price please
Prices can be found on the Unearthed UK website😁🏴
Nice looking coil
The only thing that worries me are the wings that connect to the detectors , why don’t they make them thicker
These are really strong mate, much better tban the standard ones
Hello my friend, good to watch another test video, also "Hi" to Mel, who I hope is recovering well. As you will know, I'm not into Mine Labs as my preference, but I always enjoy learning about, as well as watching ALL metal detectors perform, as well as keeping up with the paraphernalia surrounding them. After listening, I have a question for you. Why have ML made a 15" ML coil, that under performs an after-market brand of the same dimensions, bearing in mind the outlay for the up-sizing of a ML item? .... That 5x10 is the ultimate size site coil; 5x10's are, and I noticed your huge enthusiasm as soon as you swung it. I expect that the 5x10 will sell massively! Fair play to 'The Monster', it certainly belts out the depth!..The way it hit on the deep hoard was crisp, mind you, the hoard has been in the ground a good while now, so that's to be expected...nevertheless the hit was lovely...Very well done indeed Coil-tek! BTW,The previous MD that hit the hoard was the T2+ with the 15" coil, as well as with the standard 7x11"DD.. Take care Graeme, and ATB.
Well remembered tim my friend, it was indeed the 15 inch monster that hit it
10x5 is the one ☝️
You are correct in your statement young master
Plans aimed at protecting newly-uncovered treasure in England and Wales have been unveiled by the government.
Changes to the 1996 Treasure Act will see artefacts defined as treasure if they are of historical or cultural significance.
They are intended to ensure significant artefacts are not lost to the public and will instead be able to go on display in museums.
The move follows the growth in popularity of metal detecting.
Are you pro detecting or anti?
@@unearthed-detecting-tv I metal detect I have 2 detectors check the rules for yourself my friend
I have a equinox 800 plus a Fisher 75
I posted the article concerning the changes of the 1996 treasure act as it appeared on Google news stream
@@dermotgillespie5138 yes full aware of it sir
hi did the 10 x 5 hit the hoard?
Hi we didn't use the 10x5 over the hoard area as we dont to confuse people regarding which coil for which job situation
@@unearthed-detecting-tv ah ok . does the standard nox coil hit the hoard
@@louisbaldwin7097 yes but not as clear as the coiltek sir
@@unearthed-detecting-tv cheers mate the coiltek do look good
🙌🔥🙌
the 15' is a bit too big for my poor old back...i might invest in the smaller one though. get between the iron
Fabulous coils they really are
I have similar issues with a shoulder, I've just put the 10 x 5 on my 800 and it honestly has transformed the feel of the Nox, so much better balanced!
@@johnfrench8714 made a difference straight away doesn't it john
Try a sling as used with strimmers. That may help your back
How does the depth of the 10x5 compare to the minelab 11” coil?
Not a lot in it!
