One thing to keep in mind, the spare parts like brake pads, suspensions, etc. are slightly more expensive than Indian cars. But that doesn't matter as far as performance, safety and comfort are concerned. It is advisable to do proper research before buying one. Im happy with my Octavia.❤
To watch out for the 1.8tsi or to do preventively will be verify timing chain tensioner and associated component are the latest revision. Everything else aren't necessarily catastrophic failures and more of inconveniences (PCV valve, EVAP purge valve, coolant pump leakage, headliner sagging, clutch master cylinders etc)

Nothing like that…using a Laura diesel automatic L&K 2012 model…currently running 118000 kms…no serious issues till now…still running the stock clutch…stage 1 mapped…it’s a great drive with almost all feel good features which u will find in a much more expensive car…
