They look a bit silly being mounted in the middle of the door (I get it, that’s where the holes were)... you have to look so far down and to the left/right to even look into them 😂

Do you have before and after photos of the ute? I remember when u bought it and it barely anything had been done to it. and when it panned around its starting to look like a king rig, would be king to see some before and after photos 👍👍

Hey mate love the rig, I recommend the towing mirrors without the big ugly arm that runs down the door, I got GU ones for mine, the bolts line up but with abit of modification you can get them to fit perfectly.
Edit: never mind we have different doors sorry!

Mirrors now really highlight the spotty paintwork on the doors. When you were cleaning to fit the new mirrors on I wanted to see you sand the door down, level, prime, paint, clear and buff THEN put the nice new mirrors on. Good upgrade regardless.

anyone know what mirrors fit well on a ln167 hilux
I have a GQ 92 Ti and the mirrors were shot and trying to find replacements for the electric mirrors was impossible.
I eventually found the OCAM electric version of these and this product is fantastic, highly recommend.

Why does the mirror seam like it starts half way down the doors? I have had a couple of GQ utes and they arent like this.

why? didn't you move them towards the front of the door more, they look really silly TBH where they are mounted i know its easy to use old mirror holes but man a bit goofy

I run s2 electric mirrors on my ute, look way cleaner and work decent
i think if the were bolted onto doors that had the other style of manual mirrors (the little plastic ones that mount right up in the corner) it would be better. at the moment it looks like you're turning your head 90 degrees just to see the mirror.

If you point mirrors out a bit, you will be able to see more and not half of your mirror taken up by your own vehical. 🤫

Biggest problem with your mirrors is that they are half way down the door. Maybe swap them out to a later GQ 2 door?
Still look better than the old mirrors though.

The glass in those “stock” mirrors aren’t stock the normal stock GQ patrol mirror glass are not as zoomed in but the tow mirrors look good

You complained about the mirrors being zoomed in, that’s because they’re plane mirrors. The new mirrors are the same on the top. Newer cars these days have zoomed out mirrors, except in the US
