An Astonishingly good player (in fact jaw droppingly good), flawless technique, amazed I have not heard him before. The Bach was magnificent, loved the ornamentation ,attention to note values and counterpoint incredible clarity and articulation. This was a great programme superbly recorded, love the acoustic reverb, hats off to the sound engineer .
Tak Hurwitz is first and foremost a great musician, and then a guitarist. In his hands, the guitar sounds different because it's the result of musical thinking, and his excellent technique allows him to pour that thinking into the guitar. It's clear that the instrument doesn't dictate his ideas. I have the pleasure of knowing him personally, having participated together in some festivals, and I've been able to hear him live a few times, always surprising and masterful. Bravo! i played this every night for my grandma when we were taking care of her at home for almost a year. it made the whole household sleep so peacefully :’) she passed away 8 months ago and now listening to it makes me so sad
i have a one of a kind Oribe that may be the best guitar in the world or real close to that, but, but, I sure wish I had that guitar. A super musician and gets the most out of great guitar.

…I’m a huge fan of Tal. He’s one of my inspirations. But, I’ve never seen him enjoy his playing. For a simple reason, he’s just above and beyond the pieces he’s on. He’s, sort of, bored when playing. His that attitude, straightly, resonates in my interest and takes it drying. For a full contention, Tal needs ‘improvisation’, along with some iconic ‘big’ pieces from big historical names. Chaconne, Caspar Sanz, Paco de Lucia may be a few to suggest!.. All the more impressive is the performance in this concert. But, it’s not unusual for his exceptionally great musical prowess!.. Anyway thank you Tal!..
