Lee Maver’s stands head and shoulders above all his contemporaries. A genius writer, a superb guitar player, a wonderful riff maker and vocals unmatched to this day. His talent flows as naturally through him as the river running out to meet the sea. He is the Gallagher brothers in one body and then some more. The dexterity of his playing on “All by myself” is just stunning. I get emotional hearing these songs, there’s a spiritual element at play, an ethereal beauty that speaks from the soul. I’m gutted the story went the way it did but I’m grateful that we can listen to the songs that we have. “Timeless Melodies” that will live on forever.❤️🙏🎼.x

The best band from the pool! Glad someone understands. If they're the best from the pool, then they're more or less the best from England. And if they're the best from England, then they're...you get where I'm going. And it's pointless actually. They're just my favorite band is all.

There is good music, there is bad music, there is amazing music and there is terrible music. But this is THE music.

It really feels like he is talking from the soul and not just putting words in a song. It's truthful......and that pause after the into to who knows? Wow, it just made me stop. It's so delicate, like the moment before a leaf falls from the tree.

When I first heard the La's, I hated it, apart from There She Goes. But I persevered with the album even though it's not normally my thing, and glad I did, as it become one of my favourite albums of all time. What a shame there wasn't anymore albums. What is Lee Mavers doing to us, we need another album, mate. He's got an amazing voice, and his musicianship is awesome, and the songs have so much melody and power. Who else loves, The Looking Glass? Come on, Lee, a couple more albums please, I can't wait any longer!

The spiritual La's. These three songs and "Endless". Well, I think all of their stuff were a bit spiritual, but these ones touch that ground most directly, I guess. This takes you to a wholly different world. You don't even have to be under the influence of some hallucinogen to get the experience. Just walk around in the woods and listen to this...what a beautiful world.

This is almost like a different band... MeLAncholy
These all have the same delay and deep sound... It's like waking up in early morning to me.
Drifting in and out of consciousness.... Like the radio in Lee's head la
Proud of this, best I've done in a while... Fifteen minutes of peace

I can't imagine a better spiritual trip companion than the La's music. It walks that hallowed ground so profoundly.

Who knows.... his hearing all you've done might reset his mind to the right place again. Or at least give him the most pleasure he's had in years and a major boost. The risk not getting the response you'd want...what to do.

The world isn’t so beautiful today, with humanity under threat of permanent enslavement. I weep that I can’t get through to enough people. They are under mass psychosis & will be taken by the “vaccines” and “passports”, aka totalitarian tyranny via an interoperable database. People are sleep walking into the era of the killing fields.
This music still offers salvation. Lee, Ian, Richard, David, Van & a few others: thank you for real music from deep within.

I wonder what Lee Mavers & Aziz Ibrahim would sound together?
The second song has an Indian mystical feel about it, and Aziz would add a few riffs & augment / elevate an already ethereally wonderful song to the heavens.
Aziz comes across as humble & collaborative, yet pretty determined & mega talented. Love Aziz’ weekly musical piece to camera. He was a big part of how Ian Brown became the solo artist he is. Music of the Spheres contains several utterly wondrous toons.

AbsoFuckingLutely Marvellous. If Lee Mavers wouldn't have been such a complicated cat, we could've had so much more great music..............

I think the music "business" was too complicated for *this music*. Lads playing and the only job left is to capture the sound? What's to "produce"? You just need to hear the lot.
Get some omni or XY mics to pick up the room, dynamic mics with NO limiters nor compression pointed at each instrument - four instruments, the harmonies soak in through the omni, the drums and bass lock, the lead and the rhythm harmonise, the voices soar.
Wading through the La's catalogue so much was overdone - my favourite recording is probably the Tel Christian session, it balances naturally. You don't need to fuck with perfection. Replicate, don't produce, recreate, don't mix, you don't stir soup when it's just right la
I just hope in this age of proper technology, Bandcamp and analogue tape studios Lee gets his vision out there.
Lee - if you get the album out I'll wipe anything off this channel you want, fella.
Til then... I will keep emptying my chest! I am fuck all in the La's story but the attention these old recordings I horde just keep touching people.
I dunno what I was on when I discovered this band but it was the right stuff.
      Enjoy :)

ToneGarvey If only it was that simple. Actually it is if you want it to be, there should be no excuses with the equipment and outlets available now. Lee’s always got an excuse though that’s the problem. Most frustrating thing in the world being a La’s fan.

    onlinetonegenerator.com/pips.html
To mark the start of the hour, the BBC broadcasts a series of 6 tones officially known as the Greenwich Time Signal or more commonly "The Pips". The first 5 tones last 0.1 seconds and mark the 5 seconds preceding a new hour. The last tone is 0.5 seconds long and begins precisely on the stroke of the new hour. All the tones are sine waves at a frequency of 1000Hz.

They mastered and reinvented the 60's - this actually reminds me of the Stones' - Lady Jane.

To me, most of what I am hearing post first album are brilliant ideas - who knows, fishing net (love that one with great bass) etc, but the lyrics especially seem like first attempt. They are not complete songs.

Please could you make a separate video with it in to a continuous length of flowing music by cutting out 3.14-3.44 and 7.57-8.13?

I think I understand the first part of your first request but I’d prefer to keep the fade outs & intros / preludes.
