Before they were Dreamcatcher, they were a group called Minx. 5 of them were in that group: JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, Dami. It's the complete opposite of their current dark and rick concept. Because it's the "typical cutesy, bubblegum pop girl group" scenario, they got pushed back by other more famous girl groups. And because of that, they had to disband. It was very depressing for Siyeon most particularly because becoming an idol was her dream. It was even said that it was so bad that she couldn't watch other groups on shows because it hurt her a lot seeing other people onstage fulfilling her dream. Love Shake is one of the songs by Minx that's why she has a strong aversion to it.
It was good that they did end up being unsuccessful as Minx because we won't have the Dreamcatcher now with both Handong and Gahyeon. They're all happy and more comfortable with their current concept too. Siyeon even has a tattoo on her nape that says "Paradise is where I am"
Love Shake was a single released by the little known group "Minx". You should check them out. Be prepared to die if you have never heard of them though. 😉
For the bold, there is a 1-hour loop of just the chorus from "Love Shake". Good luck listening to it for only 1 hour. ;)
5:40 whenever they heard or talk about Minx they get so cringe. I think it's not like they hate it so much but they just simply don't wanna remind themselves about those dark past. Sometimes they joke about it especially Handong and Gahyeon (they're not originally from Minx)
No more cutesy stuff for Siyeon when it comes to karaoke.

I guess what I'm saying is it runs in the family... no-one's getting trouble for it. 😂
