This is a publicity "campaign song" for an anime movie, and the lyrics seem to be concerning a relationship between two characters in the anime, but Mayu said in a radio interview that she was thinking of her infant son when she recorded this, as he was ill at the time.
I could see as you watched this you were drifting back 40 years to the 80s ( as was I ) . The versatility of Nemophila and Mayu's vocals never ceases to amaze me !
Most reactors say someyhing like "I did not expect this!" or "It took me by surprise!", etc. listening to this awesome song. But all of them say "This is a great power ballad" in the end. And I agree to them all. Nemophila will never let us down.🙂🤘
This is a really beautiful song. On first listen I was immediately transported back to my younger days and teared up with emotions. Mayu is such an incredible vocalist and all the musicians are seriously in the very top performers on their instruments. I deeply appreciate the journey they have and will continue to take me on. Much love to Nemophila. ❤️🌸
I listened to the beautiful song, I cried because of mayu's wonderful voice, and then I shed tears watching your reaction. Thank you for your wonderful reaction.
You're the first I've seen to really get it. Yes it's a power ballad. Just like the many that followed the one Extreme created in the 80s. And no, it's nothing like NEMOPHILA's heavy songs with banshee screams. But MAYU's vocals are just amazing here--powerful and tender at the same time. And listen to the interweaving guitar lines of HAZUKI and SAKI, not to mention HAZUKI"s solo! This song stills surprises and gets better each time I hear it.
Thanks for playing Odyssey. Play Life from Groudbit too. This creator does a great job. The documentary just put the rumors like *Life* was written for Tamu's (drummer) baby (false). Or *Life* was a new song that Tamu never played before (false). There's some very interesting footage people would love to see. Do have a video that shows the time (before Nemophila) where Murata Tamu showed up at a *Maximum the Hormone* audition for teir cover band. MTH knew Tamu. Plus has footage of Tamu playing just about every instrument in a tock & jazz band. Yep. I did say a jazz band. That woman can do a solo album & play everything. As well as sing. Thanks & take care. I owe you a few koffies.
I love when they pull it back and do something like this. It's gorgeous, melodic and emotional, yet you can hear all that power in the background, which gives it a special oomph. It's the same feeling I got from Lovebites' "Epilogue". Nemo have two other incredible ballads up on YT, "Life" and "Now I Here". The latter is my favorite of the three, it has a guitar duet that is beyond beautiful. ua-cam.com/video/vmbE1gikVtQ/v-deo.html

I really like this song, Mayu does have an amazing voice when she isn't doing her screamo tactics, this song is way awesome.
