- Navajo painter, sculptor, and jeweler Tony Abeyta is a past winner of the Living Treasure award given annually as part of the Native Treasures art festival in Santa Fe. In this interview at his studio in Santa Fe, Tony talks about his life and his work.
Learned a few thing's over time ,.. most of our no matter what tribe ,.. painting's were to show where the power comes from and where how to collect it ,.. from the land and animals ,.. stones are a part of protection ,.. our art is really called a purity ,.. keep's us in the what and what ,.. when they talk to us during this time is when the spirit's are talking to our heart's , that is what is ment ' listen to your elders " ,.. some of our lives are like a puzzle being put to gether
