Seeing Drew holding out hope for Zuko even after he attacked Aang and protected Azula from Katara HURT 💀
I have gotten the greatest honor any one person can get.
My nephew told me, growing up, that I'm just like Uncle Iroh.
After the Netflix show released, he told me I was a better Iroh than the show.
My boy!
bro......thats just the greatest thing a grown man can hear....
Congratulations! I believe that’s the best compliment an uncle can receive!
I understand y’all hate for Azula. But you gotta admit, she ran this whole show. Gave us everything we needed in a villain.
Imagine, a country trying for 100 years to take over a city and failing just for a 14 year old girl who was raised and taught in war smarts to do it in 2 days.
Azula is basically everything I love in a villain. Hateable personality, but able to back it all up with incredible power and intelligence, on top of having a lot of depth to her and her relationships with the major cast.
@@kurimiaisukurimu At this point, Azula has yet to show depth. As in being more than just an evil person. I remember Blind Wave not liking her b/c of that. The difference for me is that I don't think a character has to have depth in order to be compelling: T-1000, Norman Stansfield, Alonzo Harris, etc...
@@jp3813ya but by the end of the show it shows that she's not just an evil person. She gets plenty of depth in s3
@@jp3813that’s the point her father shaped her into being a weapon and heartless, she doesn’t know how to show depth or emotion that’s how she was raised, plus her being naturally gifted she was coddled by her father
@@ninjablade-kk1eh Sure, although it was apparently not enough exploration of depth for certain viewers like Blind Wave.
It's been theorized that Guru Pathik is the one who was designated to train Aang at that air temple when the monks decided to separate Aang from monk Gyatso, which triggered Aang to run away in the first place. He's been waiting there patiently for 100 years (people live much longer in this world)
Only certain Earthbenders live longer in this world. And only two known Earthbenders at that. Nobody else has any record of living over 100 years.
@@centrella Sozin lived for like 102 years
@@centrellasozin
Sozin going to 102 doesn't make this make more sense. Only Bumi and Kyoshi would because they are two of those special earth benders.
@@StillOnTrackdid you read? They said “nobody expect earthbenders lived pass 100” and sozin a literally warmongering soldier general lived pass 100. If a firebender can, a vegetarian spiritual monk can too
Azula is the kind of villain you just love to hate. Horrible human being, but she's able to back it all up with power and intelligence, and you know she ended up the way she did because of her upbringing.
Daddy's girl.
Actually originally the Jet scene was gonna end with Longshot aiming an arrow at Jet, implying that he put him out of his misery. That was deemed too dark for kids so they changed it to him aiming his bow at the door.
I know a lot of people who's initial thought seeing that scene is "IS HE AIMING AT JET?!?!". I think them keeping it vague like this made it even better.
I just assumed that’s what was happening as a kid. Still do
I thought they was just gonna die fighting I don’t remember no aiming at jet lmfaooo
@@TVGameControl cause they changed it
this isn’t true it was made up by a fan
Toph learning to metalbend is top tier 11/10 TV
The way everyones' hopes are immediately dashed whenever they hear Azula's queue
... a true villain.
Iroh in appas cell with zuko:
"I'm not gonna bury another son so please for you and me stop dumb and live for yourself."
“Just cuz they not Fire Nation don’t mean they not fucked up” yup, and the opposite is true. Despite being an ex-Fire Nation General Uncle Iroh is still an absolute gem and knows that his brother and country are on the wrong side of history
I’m so fucken hype for season 3! There’s so much crazy shit and I can’t wait to see their reactions
Without spoilers…. Although there is character development…. What you see is what you get. You have to remember zuko is only a teen. A teen who in essence was abused. I can see how he did what he did. If you’re starving and someone offers you a crumb you’ll take it.
Exactly
Mai is so unbothered
Unbothered, moisturized, nails done, in her lane and loving it.
“Somebody shoot jet”😂😂😂😂dayum bruh chill💀💀💀
Book 3 has banger after banger.. y’all won’t be disappointed
Book 3 is great. The 2nd half of book 3 is some of my favorite TV ever. 3.8 and on is my favorite. with 3.1 and 3.5 being great also.
Y'all really thought this was gonna go differently, with a happy ending for the season. But nah, this is Empire Strikes Back.
put respect on Azula’s name thats how you stage a fucking COUP
The hatred's even worse because she's actually competent
@@CryoJnikI don't understand the love people have for villians and wanting then to succeed are people tryna be edgy or something 😂😂😂 she is piece of crap that's it
True. It's always breath of fresh air to see a competent villain.
Aint no respect fuck her
Her original mission was only to bring Zuko and Iroh home. But on her way she decided to defeat the avatar and conquer Ba Sing Se for fun.
fun fact: princess Azula was played by the same actress who did Lady Brierwood from Vox Machina.
Came here to make sure this was said! ❤😂
Avatar really gets exponentially better the more you watch. Book 2 >> Book 1. Book 3 >> Book 2. Y'all are in for a ride. I'm already anticipating your next Avatar videos.
Zuko is great character
He is so complex
Its hard to let go from a toxic past
He had a moment of weakness like everyone
He was wrong, but it makes sense
The Guru training Aang with his Chakras mirrors Luke training with Yoda on Dagobah in The Empire Strikes Back. Especially how he couldn't finish and had to go save his friends. I loved this little nod towards Star Wars fans.
That’s crazy how I didn’t realize the similarities between the two ☝️😆
I did not know or see that one coming.
Also Azula asking Zuko to join her. Echoes Vader asking Luke to join him on the dark side
They draw her a little bit older looking but Azula is 14 years old. Imagine a sociopathic 14 year old with fire powers
Book 3 is going to rock your world.
We all wish zuko would have changed there.. I feel that anger and disbelief. Just keep going
I love how Azula gets under their skin. But did you know her voice actress also voices Monster Girl and Shrinking Ray from Invincible? That's how awesome she is.
Oh shit. And I knew monster girl's voice was familiar
Grey Griffin is so awesome!
Same! LOL.. I've seen sooo many channels react to the show, but none of them get this triggered by the mere presence of Azula tbh. It's pretty funny, but I'm hoping they also come to recognize her mad skills as a literal 14-year old and how that actually factors into why she's such a menacing influence to the entire story :D
I’m glad azulas actress is still getting work
She also voices Katarras mom in that one episode
Not tried to, she did kill him. Katara saved him with the water and brought him back
Yea she brought him back before it was too late
You guys smack-talking the Avatar characters is a highlight of my day. Loving your journey!
I can't wait for Season 3 🔥🔥🔥
It's so nice to see someone reacting to Avatar for the first time 😂😂 Can't wait to see season 3 with you guys
Fuck yeah, hour long video let’s go.
Grey Griffin is the voice actor of Azula & she plays another villain that y’all dislike, Lady Briarwood from Vox Machina (the vampire wife who was involved with killing Percy’s family.) Grey Griffin voice acting is so good, her voice was made for a villain. (P.S. She also played Vicky on Fairy Odd Parents)
To answer the big question: that strike from azula when aang was in the avatar state literally KILLED Aang. The spirit water just brought his body back. His avatar spirit, for now, is blocked for real
Fun fact: when Azula shot Aang with that lightning strike, she pretty much killed him. If Katara didn’t have that Spirit water he was done.
19:04 that's a laugh where, for a quick second, you think you really might die cuz you can't breathe, and you know you've still got a whole heap of laughing left to do🤣 Best typa laughs!
You’re not going to sleep yet till the end of season 3. Can’t wait to watch your reaction to that season. 😉
Jet dies btw ... the og writers wanted to make longshoot to shoot him with the arrow so he wnt suffer but tat was too dark for nickelodeon
They literally changed that entirely for LOK 😂
It was really unclear...
When one’s journey reaches an impasse, and the enemy presents you with a difficult situation, all it takes is one simple mishap, one wrong decision, and a simple slight of hand and some dirty underdealings from under the table to tip the scales of victory in favor of the bad guys, leaving the good guys battered, broken, defeated, and left to retreat in order to lick and mend their shattered wounds. For Team Avatar, THIS is one of those times!
It's absolutely incredible how complex this "kid's" show on Nickelodeon became as the writers got more and more creative. I love how deep this show gets.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but Azulas voice actor is the same as Delilah Briarwood from Vox Machina and you had the same reaction to that character. All I'm saying is... Gray DeLisle is so good at her job!
We are so back lets gooooo
“She irks my soul.” 💀
1:08:40 sounds like bro made some poor financial decisions😂
These last episodes of book 2 r definitely spectacular but y’all ain’t ready for Book 3 REAL.
Hells yeah!!! Glad to see this series continue!!!
As a kid, I wanted to square up with Zuko so tough! Disappointing Uncle Iroh hurt me!
Even after all these years, it's wild to me that the writers of this show respected the intelligence of kids enough to portray a war between nations as something this complex.
I think ATLA is one of those shows that can be enjoyed by most age groups because of how accurately represented and voice acted the emotions are for each character.
Aang obviously represents the younger kids and pre-teens who are growing into teens and have to come to terms with what often feels like an abrupt but seamless change in our lives, leaving childhood behind and being introduced to responsibility, which can be scary and seem like a lot of pressure.
Zuco represents the teenage age group: angry, stubborn, moody and misunderstood as well as suffering from a traumatic childhood of abuse and the loss of a parent figure. He has trust issues and social issues, which makes him alienate himself a lot from society, but all he truly wants is a home and a family.
Iroh represents the older age group of viewers who just so happen to stumble upon the show while their kids may be watching: Wise, graceful, funny and strong both mentally, physically and bending wise. His wisdom and strength however are at the cost of a lingering dark past, wrongful decisions made in youthful haste and regret that can never be forgotten but can be taught to be avoided, something he desperately tries to convey to Zuco all the time.
Sorry for the essay, the show is amazing.
1:01:28 mic drop line right there
Did... Jet just die?
Yknow, it was really unclear 😂😂
iykyk
I grew up with the show after it ended they had spoiler bubbles in the episodes and it stated jet died from his injuries
Azula didn't try...she DID kill Aang but this being a kids show.
Every time I hear brainwashing, I think of Family Guy, "Boy, that Italian family sure is quiet".
@48:32 not him chaka-ing so Azula's VA knows it's serious 🤣🤣🤣
“Did the ferret fart? Pass gas?” 😂😂😂
Man I was so shocked and disappointed at Zuko as a kid.
Yeah it confirmed that jet is dead he's not coming back he's not showing up in the third book, the final series.
1:24 agreed if theres a cat and a human dangling off a cliff and i had a hand on them and i had enough strength to save them both I'd drop the human just to make sure I have a good grip on the cat
Kids where so mad when this first aired there was a petition to hav the ending changed. This was back before the Internet was big too so you know it was a huge deal. And the creators where like "do you have a few hundred thousand to remake it?"
We had to wait nine-ten months for season three after season two ended. It was....a time. XDDDD
I can never hate Azula. That’s my girl.
Awesome reaction!! I’m glad you caught the dragon talk from the dream sequence and then during the actual dialogue. And to Zuko’s turn, on rewatching the series again; should’ve see it coming, but watching as a kid I didn’t think like that. I was just loving the show lol. I mean yeah, the kid had a near panic/heart attack when he “gave up” his search for Aang and was living positive for that next day with his uncle. It did seem a little too fast for him to just be swayed to the side of Good. Azula coming in and whispering the things he TRULY wanted, along with his inner trauma and conflict, his relapse was unavoidable. His uncle said it himself too “You had him and you had nowhere to go!!” The situation showed itself, he took it and thus his relapse. I can’t wait for you guys to start Book 3!! It’s gonna be a hella fun ride!
Maaaaaaan I was a KID when this finale aired. Imagine being a kid and seeing THAT!!!
The sound of y’all’s laughter makes my day!
Lol. I can’t hear to hear your takes on Azula during season 3.
“Did Jet just die?”
You know, it's really unclear.
Yo let’s go! The finale gonna hurt but it sets up book 3 perfectly and book 3 gonna rock yall to the core.
So interesting that Mark Hamill voices the Firelord since this finale is the Empire Strikes Back in so many ways: Aang does the same thing Luke does (not finishing his training) and the bad guys win this season.
You guys need your mental seat belts ready for book 3 🤣
Oh nice, I was just wondering today when you were going to post more of this.
37:32 ~ Reminds me of how Gatorade tried promoting a Lime/Cucumber flavor.
Working at a gas station at the time and sold maybe two bottles in a week as opposed to to the two or three skids of Mountain Dew in roughly the same time frame
People sleep on that lime/cucumber flavor.
I could listen to Yall discuss ATLA and Kendrick V. Drake all day. Yall are one of the few people that I can eaaaasily listen to Yall rant or work through a topic. 😂😂😂
If you hate Azula then the show, its creators, and, its writers achieved what it intended…to provide a villain that is top tier and unforgettable.
"They all got a bunch of Juu-Dee's saying the same stuff, making sure people don't say anything about the war"
Lol, I don't know what your talking about.....There is no War in Bah Sing Se
Get READY for season 3!! Y'all in for a SURPRISE and a roller coaster of emotions far more than Season 1&2 combined!!! ✋️🧿🔱🥳
We need the other reactions now😂😂😂 I’ve seen everything but I feel like I’m watch it for the first time with yall fr, amazing channel
azula has them PRESSED lmao
You guys are awesome. Each time I watch your videos you guys make my day.
I been feining for this like a addict
Man long feng is long gone but we long overdue for an episode. Let’s go!!!!!
Imagine us when we had to wait months for the next season with a cliffhanger like that.
Spoiled rich mean girl+ calculated cold sociopath =Azula. She's an awesome character!
14:50
PREACH!!!
That Appa/Zuko/Iroh scene was TOP FUCKIN TIER from Mako Iwamatsu. That man was a legend.
53:09 actually I think James Cameron like last year did like a test to see if they would have drowned if Jack got on , and apparently the door did stay afloat . Now idk if it would have lasted for that long , but it woulda been much better then just Jack staying out in the cold water the whole time
49:40 real tears came out my eyes
The opening scene of 2x18 gets me hyped up every time.
"follow your passion and you will find success... I need to go back to the strip club" had me dead.
It's easy to forget how young our main characters are. They're just teenagers; they're not always, or even often, going to make the best decisions. Heck, that's something adults constantly struggle with.
So while it's sad to see Zuko turn on Iroh and side with Azula, I understand it. He was once more offered everything he ever wanted, and the temptation was simply too great.
And while I respect and admire Iroh, he dropped the ball when it came to Zuko, at least in part. He knows his nephew, knows how driven and goal oriented Zuko is. Did Iroh really think that Zuko would be willing to happily settle for working in a tea shop in the Earth Kingdom?
And granted, Zuko is a very complex person, so there is no completely correct way to guide, teach, and help him. Perhaps, in the end, Zuko was always going to make this decision, regardless of what Iroh said or did.
Thanks for the video.
At 5:40, I'd be like "Toph, girl.... that was MY ROOM you demolished!!". 😂😂
When it comes to people or animals I'm the same way. I sympathize with people, but anything done to an animal hits me so much harder.
A little farm kitten (rural family's place) I had known for about three hours or less was killed the other day by a predator, probably a coyote, and it has hit me so hard. This kitten was barely three weeks old. There were two kittens and an adoptive father cat. The dad cat was able to protect the other kitten but he has also been hurt (he will thankfully be fine).
They were so small and sweet. I can't stop thinking about their little waddle or their purring from head pats. It's all really sad and has been bumming me out the past couple of days.
Thanks for these reactions, I started binging them yesterday and I've really enjoyed them. Y'all are great.
Yo bros i am a big fan of your reactions for years dont want to give no spoilers but dont give up on zuko lol there is a deeper meaning to his inner struggle
Zuko Was On Some Bullshit. He Pissed Me Off
13:08 Now this, puts a smile on my face 😌
Struggle the Ring of Power trailer s2 just dropped ... i loved ur reaction to the first season❤️
I waited so patiently….it was worth it
Y'all talking about Azula literally sounds like how Kendrick was talking about Drake during their beef. Just pure indignation and contempt for her very existence. 😂😂
42:50 The moment I was waiting for! My woman Toph!!!!! 🙏🏽💪
1:00:00 This scene is always satisfying to see! Aang and Uncle Iroh having a conversation! 🙏🏽💪
My favorite series from you guys
57:26 My man Uncle Iroh!!!! 🙏🏽💪
More people with Zuko betrayal denial... Zuko is not devious enough or patient enough to play the long game and Azula is not foolish enough to be conned by Zuko. Zuko could not beat Azula at being devious.
Also, Zuko is a conflicted person. A single decision doesn't define him as "good" or "evil". His father's grip on him is so tight that he's closed to brainwashed like Judy.
Oh I can’t wait till yall get to book 3😂😂😂
