Some notes: - This is from Jeff Goldblum's debut album. It was filmed at Capitol Studios. They opened Studio A up to Studio B to create the club atmosphere (normally done to accomodate orchestras) since he's performed at a club in LA about once a week - when not filming - for twenty years. Audience members were offered free tickets. What we see being performed is the recording of the album track. It was filmed as part of a possible pilot for a TV show. - Jeff and Haley met for the first time just a day or two before. They rehearsed just once. So what we see is a lot of improvisation driven by the confidence of Haley. - Haley normally wears something new and different in planned video appearances. In this case - due to the short notice - she's wearing a dress she wore to a dance while in high school.
I've actually met Haley a couple times and once hung out with her and Casey Abrams for a bit of an afternoon at the Idyllwild Jazz in the Pines show. She's super chill, has great style and always amazes when she performs. If you haven't checked out her cover of Creep, it's a must. Her version of Seven Nations Army is another not to be missed and if you want to get a taste of her rockin' a bit, she does a fantastic version of House of the Rising Sun. Have fun and best wishes from New Orleans, U.S.A.!
Hi Bunji, I recently subscribed for Angelina but I saw your first reaction to Haley and now this one of Haley. I have been a fan of hers since 2011 when she was on American Idol. You can see all of her performances on YT. Anytime I see Haley on a tab I jump on it. The best voice on the planet with Angelina Jordan right there too. They both have roots in jazz. You must listen to more of Haley, especially her originals "Lay It Down" and "Don't Know How To Love You" from her Lo-Fi Soul album as well as her other performances with PMJ. Her version of Elvis' Can't Help Falling In Love With You" for a Wrigley Extra Gum commercial went viral in 2015. She has an album titled What's That Sound which consists of 60's rock classics. Haley is elegant, sexy and classy and always puts on a great show.
OMG!! Bunji I just watched ( God bless the child with Haley Reinhart and Irvin Mayfield if you like jazz What a song she is incredible next to the trumpet player WOW WOW WOWWWW 👌👌👌👌👌👌
I new he played piano, from episode of Law and Order Criminal Intent! He is very good and she is very Jazzy, wonder how her and Angelina would do together! God Bless!
I just found a new Haley collaboration with Thomas Dutronc, If You Go Away that came on you tube about a month ago. I love it. It’s not jazz but it’s a beautiful song. I bought the song and have listened to it about 20 times in the last 2 days. Check it out.

Haley Rinehart Chess record studio set with her Dad playing acoustical support is a must see for Haley fans!!!!
Evocative of a mid-century smoky swinging jazz club.
