Funny I was just thinking he sounds more pitchy than normal. I've seen them live five times and he only sounded this pitchy the first time I saw them, before he got a vocal coach. Maybe he needs to lay off the ciggies?

@@kindking8009 in Europe his voice wasn't actually that good. He has developed some type of new style (probably to compensate for the high notes and the toll that touring has taken on his voice) and it doesn't sound as good as it used to. I hope he doesn't break his voice while touring or destroy it even more by smoking because i want them to last for a long time

@@simonh7183 I'm seeing them in a few days. I haven't seen them since this past September, so it will be interesting to hear if there's been a change. I actually liked the way his voice sounded on their EP and Black Smoke Rising more than the way he sounds now. It was lower and you'd think that'd be easier to sustain than the higher pitch he sings at now, but I'm not a singer or vocal coach, so who knows? I do NOT like the fact that he's still smoking (thought he'd given it up), but my mom and dad both died from smoking, so I don't like it that ANY of them smoke.
