- Although I mentioned it was quick, this video ended up being a lot longer than I expected! This fight has a lot of attacks to look out for. Here are timestamps for each phase:

I haven't played Gungeon in the last few months, but I've been thinking about making a Lich guide for a while now and finally decided to come through. In the intro I mentioned that ETG was free on Epic Games - I actually started work on this video around 2 months ago but needed to set it aside for a while.
I would like to thank all of the nice comments on my older guides; although admittedly the quality of a lot of my content isn't great I'm glad people are finding it helpful. Unless I get a lot of requests for something, this will probably be my last guide for this game. I'm working on some ideas for more content in the future in other games, but if anyone has recommendations for new games for me to try I'm always open to suggestions. - Ігри

i remember when i was stuck on gungeon proper when i first got the game now its musch easier you most likely beat the game in the span of two years though

How good was this guide? Well, my first time ever reaching the Liches Third Stage, I paused the game, looked at this and then I just beat it at my first attempt! Also my second time ever reaching the Lich.

Beat him first try, second time in bullet hell with life orb cheese lmao; great guide, it helped me known how to avoid his first and second phase attacks before I just nuked his last one

Thanks for the guide from 2024! This is super helpful, especially for someone like me who hates trying to learn a late run boss in any rogue like. Makes my life a lot less stressful 😅
I feel like your guides are the best I can find online when it comes to this game, from the editing to the way you talk about the smallest details that could cost someone health, to general placement tips, its all so much better to grasp than other guides I can find for most bosses in this game.
If you do plan on making more of these videos, if I can make a request, would you be willing to do a guide for either Old King or Agunim (R&G Department)? I find their attacks to be incredibly hard to dodge or grasp, especially the Old King, the only way I ever beat him flawless was because I just happened to have both Blasphemy and the Super Hot Watch, he is probably the only reason why I really dont like going to the Abbey.
Old King is a tough boss and he's really tanky too which makes it even worse. You're the second person to request an old King guide so I'll definitely think about making one! Agunim gives me problems too but mostly because I don't really ever go to RnG department so I've never actually learned his patterns. I'll consider it as well
Your guides for the different pasts are the best guides I've found, I was just looking up to see if you have a guide for convict literally like 5 minutes ago to find out you've just posted since a while, also, you got any good tricks for convict?
yeah, convicts isnt so bad. a quick tip is that you don't actually have to kill the 4 dudes at the start, you can literally run past them and move to the actual fight. also, staying medium distance from him and just strafing up and down works pretty well

the fight saber kills the lich super quick since he spawns so many bullets for you to deflect. its very safe and quick

thanks! I actually used to play geometry dash like many years ago but lost interest. I didn't know there was a new tboi game coming soon, I've never played it but I used to watch some northernlion so maybe I'll check it out
Went into the fight with half a heart and 2 armor and made it to the 3rd phase before dying lol, this was helpful tho

amazing guide! I really amped myself up to defeat the lich and was terrified but then did the entire thing in like 50 seconds because I had quadruple ammo yari launcher and silver bullets as well as I had used a clone after defeating the high dragun for the first time ☠

Thank you for your awesome tips, it's my first time in bullet hell and thankfully. I had Yari Launcher and Vulcan Cannon so the phases went by fast. But if it wasn't for your dodging tips, I would've flunked my run XD
Thank you for detailing all of this, I beat the Lich first try seeing him, with 3 full hearts. But having a great set-up also made each phase super fast.
Corsair with hip holster and heart holster made all my reload shots circle around the boss the entire fight. Having the medal of valor probably made it a ton faster too.

Betrayer's Lies is a stupidly broken synergy. For anyone trying to get gunslinger, I recommend amassing hedgemoney, using rainbow mode and rerolling your runs till you get betrayer's shield on floors 1, Oubliette, 2 or Abbey, then going for the synergy.
After that you're pretty much set. I just went into bullet hell for the second time ever (first time I got dragged down unprepared and died immediately, so I was pretty much blind this time) as the robot with armor synthesizer and spice. No other guns or passive/active items, and I flawlessed the Lich without moving or knowing any of his attacks, with each phase dying in ~10-20 seconds.
Of course, I make it sound easy, but getting to the Abbey with Betrayer's Shield is not easy. In fact, it's the hardest part of the whole run, no joke. And it's probably even harder with the unpredictability of the paradox's equipment.
I assume the paralich will be tougher(never fought it before), so still heed the rules in this guide obviously, during your second run around.

Dude this helped me out for unlocking gunslinger, the runs i had for slinger and paradox weren't fair (yuri launcher for paradox and dark matter gun plus black hole gun for slinger) but I used your tips, thanks, i got gunslinger first try thanks to tour help!

Thanks to this video and my run having very high DPS I just first try No hit the Lich. Thanks for the good tutorial.
I actually beat the lich first try because i had an insanely lucky run with a bunch of companions and the big shotgun was a lifesaver, but now I'm here because i know for a fact i wont be lucky again

Watched this all to have such an op run I didn’t even see attacks from his first or second phase
I just did a rainbow run with magic candy, 2 spice, the strain that reduces enemy health, and stout bullets so I was just using my starter for the whole floor until lich. I still had all my ammo in my yard launcher. My double vision had synergy so it did triple bullets.

I was originally going to make one, but there are a lot of detailed rat guides already so I decided not to. I think AbeClancy has a pretty good one if you haven't seen that yet
I could only beat him with skull chest items like blank bullets or the super hot watch (which honestly broke the game... which is awesome tbh) but this guide did help alot

the rat items make it pretty trivial so that's the best way to prepare for it. try and focus one first obviously, also try doing a similar strategy to this guide and it'll help a lot. it's really just a dps race at this point to kill one of them
I need help on paradox lich, with the double, I’ve gotten there 12 times the last 2 weeks and keep getting super long runs wasted because I can’t beat paralich
Go rainbow run and restart till you get clone, then just find a yari launcher and hero's bandanna and save up a ton of blanks then spam them during the lich fight

I appreciate it - honestly I haven’t touched Gungeon in forever, the game is pretty old now and I’ve played my fair share of it already. In terms of rat or advanced dragon last time I checked there should be some great videos already around for those fights
I just had my first real run fighting the lich, I had 2 master rounds, a yellow chamber, and an ORANGE, and an island forme AK funnily enough. I went in with 6 of my 8 hearts because I had a full metal jacket leading up to it. had to use the orange during the first phase, yikes, then beat the second with a half a heart remaining, died to an undodge-able situation in the 3rd. I had 12 hit chances, I don't know if I will ever recover.

For some reason it's not letting get to chamber 6 I beat the dragon but the portal wasn't there what do I have to do?
I think you need to beat all main 4 character's pasts to get to chamber 6

I had an almost perfect run, but died to Lich because I had no boss killers :( best I had was cheese gun
I disagree with your method for the first spread attack. Most of your focus during these phases should be constant DPS so you won't be trapped in the boss fight dodging for too long. You can't shoot him in the middle of the room from the edge on the wall. There is a way to dodge the wave without breaking your attack cycle, running towards and wall rolling. Yes you get hit when dodging straight into the wave. But if you dodge DIAGNALLY you land perfectly in the middle and you can shoot and do the next dodge. It's WAY more consistent than you think

everyone's here struggling and here i am started playing 1 week ago and almost no hit him (got hit once) on my first try
i had the skull spitter + vertebraek47 synergy so probably because of that, but it's weird seeing everyone here say how much they struggle with him when i almost no hit him
