ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response it is described as a pleasurable tingling sensation that can be felt most commonly in the back of the scalp and down the spine but not limited to these area's.
I try to describe ASMR experience to people using something common like visiting a hairdresser, do you find the experience of someone focusing on you, the gentle touching of your hair, the sound of the scissors moving around you relaxing?
That would be a relaxing experience, watching ASMR video is like recreating that type of experience.
I believe most people can experience ASMR, to experience ASMR you need to find you trigger, common triggers will often be related to one person focusing on you or another person and watching this person focus or give them attention will trigger it.

Contrary to many of the commenters, mouth sounds are one of my favorite part of ASMR. Great quality :)

Nicole Richard Each to their own.
I happen to think people are either inclined to visual or aural triggers. Not many people are in between. I am definitely more a visual person. But it does not mean sounds cannot trigger tingles. It is just that they have to be within context. So deliberate glottal popping and tapping don't trigger tingles in me, instead they annoy (or sometimes infuriate me).

I like the mouth noises. However usually I need to be in a little bit of a relaxed mood already for them to put me to sleep. I think my favorite voice is in his Dr. Dmitri role plays.
Generally I like all variations of his voice though, it is fit for asmr and his sound quality just enhances it more.

Minimoncho Same here. Very rarely get that tingly sensation, but it relaxes me so I figure it's at least doing something. It's not that I've listened too much either, never really got it.

Mark Anderson That holds true for every ASMR "plot" ever. xD
Though I can imagine many videos are relaxing to anybody who really focusses on what's happening. asmr experience or not. It's meditation.

When I was a kid, what always made me tingle was watching a friend concentrate on something - usually a computer game of some sort. Could you make a video where you concentrate with such a magnetic diligence on something other than massage (I do love massage videos though). Perhaps painting or writing or making a house of cards - now that could be interesting!! The video would end when you successfully make it.. so make sure you fail at least 5 times! You'd have to focus really really hard to successfully make a large house of cards and we would really feel that deep concentration and focus on the task. I can feel the tingles already. Feed me more.
    Love your work.
In case that wasn't clear: the defining point is that the video would be focused on completing a designated task and arriving at the destination, rather than say just massaging your scalp, which fits in line with concentrating on something with a magnetic diligence but it's not the same as finishing a jigsaw puzzle or putting together a model.

I've had the first few minutes of this video seemingly on repeat the past several days. It's like everything I love about your non-talking videos (almost-not-quite inaudible whispering, exaggerated hand movements, display of the objects (I'm largely a visual trigger person)) in a video in which you're doing a bit more talking, which is what I love. I'm not a HUGE sounds person but then again...I can't seem to get to the end of the video without passing out! So maybe this video hit all of the sounds that DO work for me! :) I'll have to watch while less sleepy to double check, ha!

Have you ever got a nice snapple tea from the gas station or convienent store? Not the plastic half gallon jugs, but the single serving glass bottles such as the Snapple peach tea or a Snapple Apple, those teas? The lid to the bottle has a distinct clicking noise when you push the top of the lid that gets me every time. You should try it sometime.

Request.... Would it possible for you to do some more close up ear to ear whispering like "ASMR Inaudible Whispers & Mouth Sounds Ear to Ear with Dmitr". I know we are all different in our triggers but mine is definitely close mouth sounds with no other sound effects. I actually went to Australia back in April and stayed in Sydney for a couple of weeks. Of course I thought of you and wondered how close I would now be to you now. (Yes I fantasised about a one to one whisper session with you) I went on a few trips, Blue Mountain and some wine tours etc. On one of those trips I found myself sat in a minibus and the driver/tour guide started talking. He sounded very much like you. Certain words he said and the way he said them sent wave after wave of relaxation through me. I was nodding and falling asleep! I never wanted it to end! The power of ASMR!
