I actually had a nightmare about the plant creatures recently. Of all the creatures in this game, their honestly the most terrifying to me.
I think the game's pacing makes their design even more memorable.
In isolation, they're a gross plant monster.
In context, they're incredibly lethal AND incredibly alien. Plant monsters are new and weird, they look horrifying, you don't know what they're going to do and you want them to stay the fuck away.
They're also far more dangerous than a standard zombie, harder to subdue, and much harder to kill. So they have the right level of threat necessary to back up their appearance.
Plants vz Zombies? How bout both?
