I remember it was cold at that time of year, too cold for swimming at first. Looking forward to seeing your developments as the weather warms! Who knows what animals the warming weather will attract?!
Awesome ep! Great to see you expanding your knowledge 👍, If more boaters took a leaf out of that book you probably could have an uninterrupted breakfast! 😁
HAHAH simon! cheeky!! - it's fine, we had enough to eat that weekend lol. Life is just a big learning mission, we aim to keep on that path :) see you next ep!
Yannis family cafe for breakfast, highly recommended in Sivota. We look forward to following your travels around the Peloponnes. It’s on our to do list.
Hello guys - thanks for the comment! We absolutely love Yannis! The food is amazing too. The sail around the Peloponnese was amazing - perfect blend of scenery and long coastal sails.
We loveee this cafe so much. She is the best hostess ever, food is so tasty and affordable. Truly does make everyone feel like family! we are glad to have you here with us!
Awesome episode! I spent this last June with Ionianmode getting comp crew and day skipper. George and the instructors were amazing. The places they took us while learning to sail were unforgettable. I want to go back like you have. Fair winds 🎉
What a dream right? cheers for your kind words too :) - congrats with your day skipper. We are sure you will be back soon enough - so much to look forward to ! fair winds to you!
Great question Lee! - Its main benefit is that it allows us to stay out on anchor for longer periods without needing to recharge our batteries on shore. We also have a lot of freedom now in terms of energy usage. We live more comfortably and efficiently too, using electric cooking means, as opposed to always using gas! The davit system has also been a god send. We have a lot more space on the coach deck now, and we can lift our dinghy in and out easily. Cheers for the question! :))
Hi Lee - I think Taylor summed it up with her answer. Solar goes without saying, and the davit was a game changer as means we can easily go ashore without having to use a halyard to launch the tender from the deck. Not having to go into marinas or town quays to recharge our batteries also means we save $$$ thanks for the comment!
Hi lovely - wondering how you found your sailing teacher Captain Ron. We’ve bought a catamaran in Greece down near Athens, have sailed but not on a catamaran and wouldn’t mind having an experienced skipper on board for a week to help us get the hang of it when we first launch.
Hey there :) - Congratulations on your new boat guys. Having someone else on board is always a great decision, especially for a new vessel. Shoot us an email and we'll forward you on the details of the trusted team
What an action packed week huh? Which SIDE QUEST of ours did you enjoy most this week? Let us know below :)

What does the new solar allow you to do that you could not do before? How do you like the new Davit?
